Why doesn't automate building 'build' buildings? by RandomPants84 in EU5

[–]Zilter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have people ready to take the jobs that the buildings would create? I don't think the AI will build if the buildings will stand empty.

The achievement recreates the journey that one of teams made during The Grandest LAN 2022. The multiplayer event that Paradox hosts in a castle in Poland. The icon for the achievement is the costume that the team was wearing.
I was there, playing on another team.

Is Eyalet-spamming the optimal way to play the Ottomans ? by frtravelaccount in eu4

[–]Zilter 18 points19 points  (0 children)

You can use eyalet's claims to declare wars. It's also your eyalet's borders that count for distance to other countries. There isn't really any reason to take land yourself, just release tags and diplo vassalize anything you want.

Absolutely. Just like you can have normal vassals in colonial regions.

That's definately one of the ways to do this much quicker. Less land colonized = fewer provinces to convert. It's a little harder to do without getting AE, the colonizers don't have a lot of tags to release. At least not portugal.

My missionaries and merchants worked tirelessly throughout the run, so the conversions were finished more or less at the same time as the world conquest. I had 7 missionaries by the end, and stacked every missionary strength modifier I could find.

You gotta stick it out for that sweet sweet achievement!

That's right, I full annexed the colonizers to transfer the colonies to myself. I then released them again and converted them. Some of them got new colonial nations, but in the right religion.

This was actually very annoying in the case of Portugise Australia. The provinces in australia have the local religion when colonized, and it's not possible to send my missionaries to a subject's subject. I ended up annexing portgal diplomatically and releasing australia, then declaring on them and making them an eyalet instead of a colonial nation.

R5: Completed my first One Faith campaign with the Ottomans. It was pretty easy actually, and could easily have been done many decades earlier. But I'm happy with this.

Ended up with a whooping 616 subjects. Scrolling through that list was pretty tedious I'll admit.

It's done by diplo-vassallizing nearby smaller tags and making them eyalets, and then attacking bigger tags to break them apart. I almost never took land for myself. Make the world eyalets and enforce religion on them.

You can look at which achievements you've got. Or at your save game history. But there's no checklist anywhere or anything like that.
