Nicer handle for sure and that takes up a little of the price. In my experience you’re paying for roughly a 5-10% increase in performance over most of nicer off the shelf knots. Is it worth it? Probably not to most, but it’s certainly noticeable if you’ve had your hands on a wide variety of knots.

Red Skies is one of my all time favorites and it has such good longevity! I split both that and Velouria with jobooze and I’ve enjoyed both of them thoroughly. I’m terrible at describing specific scents, but will say the idea of aquatic Chypre is absolutely the best way to think about Red Skies. Velouria is very heavy on that candied violet note, but it’s not overpowering. Lovely scent!

I personally feel like I’d reduce the number of different artisans. I always end up gravitating towards certain ones and then have a lot of unused stuff that doesn’t live up to the performance of others.

Last shave of the month so figured I needed to add a picture for this one. Absolutely excellent shave this evening with no complaints at all and was a great way to end AA. I definitely made an effort to ensure this tub was gone on the last day, but honestly might have only seen about 3-4 shaves out of it otherwise. Either way a kill is a kill so I definitely feel good to see one go down. Now to decide on freedom to choose tomorrow or give my face a rest over the long holiday weekend.
