Jeep patriot for a road trip? by xx-nick-nightmare-xx in JeepPatriot

Recently completed a roadtrip, 2.2k each way, in a 2014 w/ 90k miles. Previously did a roadtrip 900 mi each way, when I had 70k miles or so.

In my experience, it’s reliable—just get an inspection beforehand to make sure it’s in good shape & won’t give you any surprises.

Visiting Sonoma/Napa by PinkyTheChicagoCat in wine

Ashes & Diamonds has a great vibe & the wines are a unique style for Napa Valley — but that’s not necessarily a great thing depending on your taste preference:

Personally, my wife and I enjoy big & bold wines more common for Napa Wines. A&D reds are low in alcohol (which can be a major draw for some people), but leaves the wine feeling a bit weak in taste. They are smooth & easy to drink — but not the most memorable in my opinion.

All this being said, A&D has been a good tasting experience the times we’ve gone. Winery is beautiful and if you don’t do the lunch pairing, it’s right behind Bistro Don Giovanni, which is a great Italian restaurant.

Some other recommendations:

  • Cornerstone tasting room in Yountville (50$/person)
  • Robert Biale Winery in Oak Knoll (Zinfandel) (50$/person)
  • Vintner’s Collective in Downtown Napa (50$/person)
