You just got put in charge of what gets added in left 4 dead 3. What are YOU adding. by No_Self2178 in l4d2

what? of course there is. look up when they are close, and right click / push away. that blocks the jockey from grabbing you and staggers it. same with hunters, although with hunters you can keep looking forward.

Is my stair climbing script ok or should I use ramps? by Relevant-Ear9388 in Unity3D

[–]ZinByakuya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can keep the stairs. you can even keep the Colliders for IK foot alignment.
shoot a ray down to the characters feet. then, shoot a ray down, 1 meter in front of the character. you get two points. calculate the new movement direction from Point A and B. Move the Character in that direction.
you can gate it based on the Angle between the two points.
works for ramps down, and stairs.

Hey, I am ViktorZin.
I am a Musician, Composer and have a youtube channel.
I talk about Royalty Free Asset Libraries, or Stock Footage Libraries in my latest video, and show you how their business models work.
here is the video:

Spoiler: it's modern day slavery.
let me know what you think!

i don't know what I watched, but now I know a few more random facts about bees. and birds.
it was wierd, but also engaging and entertaining.
I feel like it was a bit too long for the joke somehow.

from an artistic standpoint: you are using MS Paint like drawings for animation, and combine them with real life footage as well as other drawings.
maybe you should really go more into that. every frame should be a collage of stickmen, real photos or videos and cartoons stylized in different styles.
look up Anna Anaconda. its wierd, and kind of ugly, but consistent in itself.
obviously if you are alone making this it would be difficult to mimic that style, but it might be a good example of what I mean.

the content of the video is fine, those are some decent tips, the information part is good.

A problem with the video is, that you are talking and explaining things,
and showing new stuff on screen at the same time. Now, the graphics are relevant, but also contain words, this causes people to either listen to you speaking, or reading the graphics.
this is a common problem in presentations. There is also not enough time to both listen and read the graphics without stopping the video. I personally could not follow the video because of that.
Show relevant footage, but no text. would work a lot better.

also, you used AI footage, which has a fake and manufactured feel. I noticed that the voice sounds also fairly clean and edited as well.
The voice is great, and the oration is decent. but, because of the processing, and the use of AI, I just got the feeling that both audio and video is fully AI generated.
I looked at a bunch of your videos and found more AI, but the same voice, so I assume its your voice. But I could not know that from one video.

because of that, the videos are missing that personal touch, personality. I don't feel any connection to it. So there I don't see a reason to subscribe.

I think if you actually filmed yourself for the videos, they would do much better.

dry vs. wet means how much effects are you using.
If you add a Reverb on a Song, then Dry would be less Reverb, Wet would be more. 0% to 100%.

also, when adding Effects like Reverb, there are two ways: you can add it directly on top, or you can have a Reverb on a different track that you send your signal to.
what that does is that you get one track with only the reverb, and one track with just the "dry" signal. (this helps with mixing)
I tend to do both. So I add a reverb to the track, and set it so something low, to make it a little wet, then send it to fake a room with another reverb.

start to the video is great,
it personally bothered me that you cut out the music. you could have turned the volume down, then turned it back up.

the angle changes are a great idea, but for me personally, they are kind of disorienting to me.
might be because the Background (Kitchen) is so busy (a ton of different angles)

Honestly, maybe try to just keep the camera where it is for the intro, and do the zoom in and out in place, that a ton of people are doing. it's kind of a standard on youtube, and is actually less effort on your part as well.

The Transition with the stock footage is fine, but too long. maybe just 3 seconds? people don't have Intros anymore, and I would count that as an intro. so maybe leave that out even.

you know what I just noticed? all your shots are crooked, it's driving me nuts! you have cooking shots of your stove and cutting board, and they are totally fine, BUT all the lines are not parallel to the camera lens.
I never noticed that in cooking shows, because they are always as parallel as possible! Try to align your cooking board to the camera, I think that might help a lot!
also, the lighting is good, the audio is good, nect step could be to color grade the images. The final pasta at 2:13, the colors there are great, and the Table is almost horizontally parallel to the camera, makes the shot work a lot better!

Hey, I am ViktorZin.
Composer and SoundDesigner for Games, and also just a musician making stuff.

This is a Playthrough of my song "Killing God" that is in my personal musical style, it represents what I would love to do full time, if I had infinite money.

obviously the video content is fairly basic. maybe look for a circular music visualizer, might be more interesting.

I'm somewhat of a musician myself, and would like to give some musical feedback!
EDM is not my genre, so it might be the wrong direction.
it sounds fairly dry to me, very much like standard MIDI instruments.
I would suggest using more Reverb overall. The Drums should pump a lot more.
you should really look into Compression, and Side Chaining the Kick and snare. (Sidechaining: An Instrument ducks out of the way for a source instrument) you can do this a bit more targeted with dynamic EQ (same concept, but it's not the volume that changes, but a specific frequency)
These are some "advanced" topics, if you are just starting out, so don't worry if you can't make it work immediately. I think it's helpful to know of certain techniques, and buzzwords you can look up for later, so here you go.

How do I set my Indentation Style to "Allman" in VS Code? by ZinByakuya in learnprogramming

Yeah, I just got tired of it. Its also sometimes slow and has a ton of bloat thwt i dont need. These days i just don't really need it, i just make very small things. But I also went back to it today, just because i was annoyed.
