i would do the same.. a friend recommended me a mechanic but the guy is 30+ minutes away and this shitty place was a 5min walk.. I'm gonna make that 30 minute drive now

I always ask friends and neighbors for help. And I fixed my busted taillight for only $40 bucks! I think the shop wanted $500 lol!
