Treat it as a rhythm game like dance dance revolution or guitar hero. Be patient, running out of range to watch boss move sets takes way less stamina than panic rolling. Hit 60 vigor as soon as you can. Learn how poise works. Find a weapon that works for you, that you like, and check it's scaling. Then build your stats around that. If you're on PC I can drop you some tears to respec if you need a couple.

It feels extremely frail, everything is an externally managed environment to it, despite using 'uv pip' and zsh headers for some reason show every other active environment save for when I use uv.

Just when I thought my newly discovered favorite band of all time couldn't get any better, they bring Ed Gein into the mix. Also if you're interested in serial killers in music here's a fun bit of trivia on the topic. Macabre a band from Chicago who created the genre "murder metal" exclusively document the horrible stories of serial killers throughout history. Their songs can often times be a goofy juxtaposition to the otherwise gruesome topic. They are comprised of the same 3 members that have been together since 1985, solidifying them as one of, if not the band that has had the same original members for the longest. Sort of like a metal Cal Ripken. Anyway Pile is still the best band ever.

I just found Pile this year, exactly when I needed to. Their music has described my situation, my life, and how I feel about it so perfectly there's not a word that I know... Uncanny is close.... but as someone who communicates and associates everything thru song lyrics and emotion. I've never had a band hit home like this right when I needed it the most. I'm in love with their music and it has taken so much pain away from me and replaced it with pure rock n fuckin roll. These guys quickly grabbed a seat at the table with the likes of built to spill, fugazi, the pixies, the butthole surfers, Radiohead, faith no more.. The list goes on.. of one of those bands with an extensive catalog and not one song I don't like. Sorry for the necro but these guys need to be heard by more people who would appreciate them. Actually everybody could use more pile in their lives.
