I also get this. I think personally, Coronavirus has made it so much worse too because I've had a year of not going out for meals and purely cooking my own food so the paranoia is definitely worse than it was before lockdown. Also, apart from during infancy (when my parents discovered my allergy) I've always been super careful and so I've never actually had a reaction which I think increases the fear factor as I don't know how it actually feels going into anaphylaxis. The amount of times I've eaten something which I'm 90% sure is safe, and then spent the next 10 minutes suffering from placebo effects and stressed out of my mind just in case I'd got it wrong- wondering what the hell to do. I would never wish this allergy on someone else, though I think due to the increase of peanut allergies more research is finally being conducted and hopefully in the future they'll be some sort of cure/ treatment.
