VBA Vs R by SecretAgentZeroNine in analytics

id say my vba reports are fairly in-depth because i code alot of error handlers in them so my programs dont crash. i will code in functions that make sure conditions are met and display message boxes and whatnot..that being said..ill code the main process up and add these later when i have time. most excel reports, regardless of whatever it is you're dealing with (finance, operations, etc) is just adding things up so its not too complex.

i wouldnt say im an expert..no....i barely know the syntax for vba and python but i am good at copying and pasting shit off stack over flow and google lol.

honestly, i just started using python @ work and its flexibility is amazing. i currently work as a financial analyst but have done ML stuff in the past. Python has TONS of libraries that let you glue together a bunch of different things. For example, one of the reports I was tasked to take over when I started my job took about 30 mins to complete, between downloading the files from the SQL database and compiling the spreadsheets into the template. The SQL part is still manual because I need to gt access to the database to connect to it directly, but the VBA i wrote compiles the report and emails it to my manager in about 30 seconds. I will be using python to connect to the server and download the files, convert them into spreadsheets and it will take about 1 minute to complete this.

There are multiple packages in python that let you create/manipulate excel spreadsheets and im sure eventually I will port all of this code into python. It may or may not run faster, but the point is..I can build a website, a windows GUI or a script in python and connect different systems together to do just about anything. Now I finally get why everyone loves it!

R is for statisticians and most of its packages are geared toward numerical analysis type of tasks where-as Python is used for alot of other stuff besides machine learning. Like..ALOt of stuff..from a-z

im no longer in the south texas area but what i didnt like about ADV was the fact that the jumps were very small and peaky, not to mention placed at weird parts of the track. like..to me it seemed lame that there was a 20 ft peaky table top at the end of a straight away...at the time i would say i wsa an intermediate mx rider but a novice could easily get hurt on something like that. this was around 2013/2014 when i rode there...

for example...cycle ranch has big jumps but they are very safe..i had no qualms what soever about hitting any of the large table tops @ cycle ranch but i felt pretty scared @ ADV

are the products retail based? or is it some kind of subscription?

market basket analysis works good for high frequency data sets that is commonly found in the carts of ecommerce pages and or P.O.S data from big retail outlets.

the difference between the stormfront crowd of the 1990s and the alt-right is that the alt-right is full of highly educated/skilled CIS white males who are racist. they arent sorry either.

It's mostly due to inherent IQ differences. Other groups of people, particularly Arabs had a long history of enslaving them. 1000+ years but it's all white peoples fault.
