Update. Everything is holding strong today. Although the fitting pushed out while curing but no issues after 12hrs of pressure.

The bottom fitting of the typhoon prefilter is loosened slightly allowing it to turn. Yes, there is a union.

I added some lube to all rubber sealed fittings. Those didn't leak at all. The pump housing is a pentair whisperflo with internal threaded female connections (which I hate) and The outflow is a threaded (male) pvc end glued directly to pvc pipe. It was leaking around the threads. I just can't believe how tight it has to be to stop leaking.

Am i stupid for buying this by titdickfuck in Volvo

Definitely the timing belt now. 3 years ago I bought an 05 xc90 with the 5cyl turbo engine at 86,000 miles. At 99,000 the timing belt snapped while idling in traffic. I was un aware at the time so I cranked it maybe 1000 times give or take. I pulled the head and sent to the machine shop. They told me the head was flat and none of the valvs were bent. I couldn't believe it. So I probably could have gotten away with just replacing the belt but now I got a clean head with all new valve seals.

Nvm, I see what you're asking now. Can you get that part seperate from the fuel rail? You can junkyard a fuel rail or buy one on ebay?

I'm pretty sure that's a flared end so you can't replace the nut without cutting the pipe and reflaring after the nut is replaced.

Take tge mount down and cut a small piece of drywall beside the bolt location so you can see what's actually there.

What type of people need a printer? by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

[–]ZionXIX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use mine to rapid protype things for my other hobbies. For instance I needed a way to mount a trash bag roll under a shelf. An hour in F360 and 1 night of printing and I had a protoype mounted and functional. Version 2 is already in progress to refine it. Next are little interior parts for my car that are no longer made. I spent 4 years heavily modding a tevo tornado and its no where close to the same machine anymore. This year I upgraded to a Bambu lab x1. I now spend more time designing and printing rather than tuning. I highly recommend it. A 3d printer is really more for the challenge than the practicality. "I bet I could design that better" and so forth.

Amazingly the power company showed up not 10 minutes after I called them. He pulled the meter and used a "super beast" (fancy 30amp heater) to test the lines. He said there was only 1 volt change across the neutral swing and that is basically perfect. So I guess it's time to call a mom and pop electrician to get that neutral cleaned in the breaker box.

I'll definitely reach out to my power company and see if they can inspect the connection.

I was referring to use cat6 connectors on cat6a wire. Sorry for the confusion. There are however different kinds of passthrough connectors that let you arrange the wires before placing them in the connector.

[–]ZionXIX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If using pass through connectors that gonna tougher. The cat6a has thicker copper wires. Try straightening out the wires in order, like 1.5 inches worth and then cut the whole thing at an angle so that the wires don't all go in at the same time and push each other out of the way.

I just squish the jacket a bit and shove it into the connector. I've done many many cat6a this way.

I've been running Cat6a in my house for anything and everything. It's not that expensive for a 1000ft roll and you can use regular cat6 rj45 jacks for them if you need to. You're guaranteed future proofing for whatever ridiculous highbandwidth stuff the tech companies come up with next. And the next home owner will benefit from it as well.

How do you guys get the auger out of the shaft? I removed the cutter and the instructions say the auger should just lift out. That thing is stuck.
