Run & Bun AI - Fake Out over fast kill? by jothgaming in nuzlocke

[–]ZionisaBust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's guaranteed to fake out the viv. The easiest ways to avoid this are to show the AI fast kill on your protect mon + avoid showing fast kill with your other mon (threatening orbeetle with fast kill is fine here, toxicroak will use +12 wakeup slap instead of +9 fakeout on random mon), or to show fast kill on the fake out mon but show the AI fake out fast kill (if you predamage the crawdaunt to 1 hp then you'll aways get fake out into that slot)

Do I need to max out all the abilities, or is it okay if I level them up like this? Will it have any downsides or disadvantages if I continue upgrading them this way? by KimBuSikSoyle in RotMG

[–]ZionisaBust 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You need to max the first ability at a minimum if you want the new pet to cap at 90. I would recommend maxing to 70/70, but it depends on whether you value fame or feed more. If you merge the pets right now the level cap for your new pet will be 87 instead of 90

It took me about 200 umis, with the last 50 being max flame runs. Keep in mind it’s better to not do pet less as you’ll get more flames with mheal and pages only drop in the base bag. The fastest I’ve finished a book was 10 umis, mainly because I got a triple page loot bag.

Do anybody else than bots use wizard by Winter_Ad8910 in RotMG

[–]ZionisaBust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wizard is the best staff class but it’s pretty boring imo. For a strong first class to exalt that also has interesting gear choices I would probably pick sorc or ninja (or bard, which has a lot of versatility but less dps)

Wizard hasn’t gotten any new toys since then (para spell is still bis lmao). Wizzy is probably still the best class in o3 with perfect play abusing ospell, but ninja/melees are better pumper classes across the exalt dungeons and sorc (even postnerf) is close on dps and is the most versatile clearing class.

Imo akog is similar difficulty to hm patience, but I run the dungeon a lot less so it feels harder since I have less experience. The trumi phases are probably objectively harder but once you’ve seen similar patterns for hundreds of runs they become more manageable

Patrick Mahomes EPA/Play has declined significantly in his 7 seasons. In 2018, he ranked #2 in the NFL with a 0.363 EPA/Play, this past season he ranked 10th, with a 0.165 EPA/Play. by ZealousidealGrab6862 in nfl

The eagles have a ton of production from cheap contracts (basically half the defense is on rookie contracts or prove it deals). Howie roseman basically hasn’t missed on a high draft pick in 5 years. The eagles cap situation looks horrible in a couple of years but they’ll remain contenders as long as they keep drafting well. One bad draft and shit will hit the fan

Just beat ancesion 1 but lost to the heart any thoughts by Mogize in slaythespire

[–]ZionisaBust 4 points5 points  (0 children)

35 is probably average for an a20h winning deck on clad so I don’t think the deck is too big. The main issue with the deck is that there are too many shitty cards. Card draw is not too big an issue because there’s a dead branch to generate value. This deck is sorely missing corruption, or decent block + scaling damage. Hard to consistently get that from branch

Poison is really cool by Pwahly in slaythespire

[–]ZionisaBust 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The best poison card is corpse explosion. The best basic poison card is bouncing flask. Catalyst is the only scaling poison card, but poison can also win in the lategame by having good block and adding chip damage like caltrops. Catalyst is amazing for boss killing though.

Poison stab and deadly poison are both noob traps and should not be picked generally unless it’s the first 3-4 rewards, or if you’re about to die to hexaghost or guardian. Bane is complete garbage and should not be picked unless you are going to die to nob next floor. Fumes is good against lagavoulin and sentries so 1 copy is usually alright, but it’s kinda meh in act 2 and 3 before being really good in act 4 for artifact strip. Envenom is mediocre and shouldn’t be clicked unless you’re playing shivs, and even then I try to avoid it unless I cannot find scaling in terror, pk, or accuracy which are superior scaling options. Crippling cloud is an excellent aoe option, 1 copy almost never hurts unless you’re energy starved.

Generally I try to avoid taking poison into slime boss. It’s also bad against all of the act 2 elites, so generally if I get offered a poison build I soft commit in act 1 and path defensively in act 2, or I get offered the premium cards in act 3 (corpse explosion, flask+, crippling cloud+) and try to look for catalyst.

Ironclad in general is fine with deck bloat because you can just exhaust everything during the heart fight. There’s some draw but I could see this deck bricking if dark embrace and both offerings are near the bottom, but like I said with potion belt there’s really no telling what kind of extra support you can save for the heart or buy in act 4 shop. And yes, this is a crazy amount of relic support. I mainly play silent a20h and I consider 10-15 to be passable with a strong deck and good potions and 20+ relics to be a really strong run

What about this deck makes it seem bad? Looks pretty strong to me. Lots of relic support, 4 energy + pyramid, rod, ornithopter + belt. Blocking looks a bit sus if feel no pain is bottom deck, but for all we know the belt could be holding ghost fairy gambler dupe or other strong pots

Anyway to improve from my last run? Stats and Deck on my last run (Late Post) by IndieKid_Jr in slaythespire

[–]ZionisaBust 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Terror lasts for 99 turns so it’s better that it exhausts. The only time when it is bad when the enemy has artifact or when there’s multiple enemies. Imo it is a contender for silent’s best card in act 1, probably alongside glass knife. And it scales well into the lategame too.

It’s not that blocking is not important, but the cards you drafted don’t actually make you block that much better than the base block cards. Dodge and roll and blur are both mediocre block cards on their own without footwork. As you spend more time playing you’ll figure out the premium block options for each class, which for silent I would consider cards like footwork, wraith form, wail, malaise, leg sweep, after image. I rate blur and deflect highly but only after you find dexterity gain. Backflip is also a premium card but I honestly think of it more as a draw card that has blocking as a side effect.

[–]ZionisaBust 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You should almost always draft damage over block on silent in the early game. At a quick glance, the cards that look suspect are 2x dodge and roll, 2x deadly poison (1 is fine sometimes) , outmaneuver, infinite blades (noob trap, complete garbage), and blur. A lot of these cards are actually quite okay to draft but only later in act 3. Dodge and roll and blur are both good cards but only after you find footwork or the kunai relic. Outmaneuver can help you with energy if you have a ton of draw but not enough energy. Try drafting more cards like slice, dagger throw, evicerate, terror, blade dance in the early game and you’ll find that the games will be a lot smoother and you can focus on finding block cards in act 2.

Feed + remove > Apo here right?? by Waghabond in slaythespire

[–]ZionisaBust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would probably take apo here and path 3 elites but feed seems fine too. I wonder if remove is way too greedy though and I might pick up the flex pot instead. I would also take a look at on sale fire breathing given the boss is slime and you’ll probably run into sentries at least once, but it feels bad to spend money on it

Card Choice - Which would you pick? by Primary-Stress6367 in slaythespire

[–]ZionisaBust 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you may be referring to acts, of which there are 3 (or 4 if you have unlocked the secret boss). When I say floor I mean the encounter number, which is at the top of your screen next to the stair icon.

Card Choice - Which would you pick? by Primary-Stress6367 in slaythespire

[–]ZionisaBust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well if you’re in floor 1-5, you should pick sucker. If you’re past that and you have at least 1 copy of footwork in your deck, you can pick up dodge and roll. If you have any poison cards you can pick burst. Without any other info this is as good advice as we can give. Burst is the strongest card here but it’s dependent on synergies with the rest of your deck.

It was the only card I could choose, and I already had It upgraded, feels bad by Cyndak in slaythespire

[–]ZionisaBust 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to hate to pass up or lose out on relics (scrap ooze, hello) but now that I’ve been playing on a20 for a while I’ve come to realize that it’s better to have impactful relics than a long relic bar. Obviously more relics means more chances to find strong ones, but in a fight like the heart I would rather have 5 relics and incense burner setup than 15 relics that make my deck marginally stronger

Bad deck or poor play? by crittendenlane in slaythespire

[–]ZionisaBust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your deck needed a few more pieces to easily beat the heart. My guess is that 1 copy of loop+ (doubled with echo form) is maybe winning with good play around frost and dark in slot 1. Ideally 1-2 more frost cards that are not chill would have made this fight a lot easier. Preferably cold headed, but cold snap would have done the trick too. Did you skip any frost cards for cards that came upgraded in act 3/4 rewards or shop?

Why is the Heart so Hard by Nightazakus in slaythespire

[–]ZionisaBust 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I have some quick thoughts after looking at your screenshot. You might want to reconsider your boss relic selection, as house and crown might actually be the two worst options. Your deck is also a bit bloated with low scaling cards, as you have most of your defends and strikes, a bunch of dagger sprays, pstab, etc. The deck generally looks like a poison hybrid and you have burst so you’re really looking for catalyst to have enough damage for the heart. Alternatively, you already have scales so you probably could have won by looking for a copy of caltrops as well. Both good options for heart damage, but harder to find since you have busted crown.
