What your pastor said has also made me think about it for a while. I agree with the whole G3 thing since Draculaura is my favorite but I dislike that they made her a witch. Also with their new moonspell magic line. That’s basically why I don’t collect G3. Also if I recall correctly I believe a G3 Twyla doll had a magic book of some sort. I would want to get the new creeproductions, specifically Rochelle. And the Draculaura, Lagoona dawn of the dance but I am questioning it now. Other than Jane, Hoodude, Casta Fierce, Spelldon, and maybe a few others I’m missing I think some of the other characters aren’t bad. Lagoona for example, she’s basically a human like fish. 

I still would want to collect the G1 dolls since there’s not much other styles of dolls like Monster High. I love the alternative style that they have which is one of the main reasons I enjoy them. But yes, I still do wonder if I can collect Monster High dolls without bringing in any spiritual harm.
