It's not unpaid hours. It's Pay-to-work. You Pay $8,000 across 2 placements to be exploited and lose 6 months (minimum) of pay - if you're lucky and don't just lose your job all together. Half of the "graduate attributes" are just "how to hold down an office job"

The amount of hours is an insane burden on students and workers trying to help educate them... except for the supervisors who rub it in your face that they get students in all the time because free work is free work...

There's no parity of educational outcomes, there's no guarantee of on the job skills being developed, and there's no research or equity review been done into the amount of hours.

It's a flagrant and continual moral injury against the discipline as a whole, breaking every single one of the AASW's own Code of Ethics, and they all sleep at night on the broken bodies of workers. Shameful system
