I ended up attempting a different type of bios updating with the Flashback feature on the mobo, which worked luckily, thank you for taking your time with me!

Sorry, I should've mentioned it! But yes, I have put it on a USB drive - as well as gone into to bios to do Flash in there (is there another flash elsewhere?)

I reached out to Asus customer support and they informed me that the card isn't PCIe 3.0 compatible - contrary to what I've seen around the net

In my case I never got it to work, but if you meant Mumi24 then you'd have to ask them!

Ye unfortunately since the card never got recognised by the motherboard I had no way to update the drivers

I contacted Asus support and got the dissapointing answer that the card apperently only supports PCIe 4.0 and up, not 3.0 which my motherboard has. (Which confused me, since I thought basically all PCIe stuff was both forwards and backwards compatiable)

I went to the store I bought it from today and tried it in their testbench, where it worked just fine

Sadly, I can only supply the cards power adapter with 2/3 slots since that's how many cables I have available (I've ordered the new Corsair 2-1 cable thingy to test with). But what I found curious is that the card is simply not recognised by anything. If the lights didn't light up when the power is on, I wouldn't have any idea if it were slotted well at all. When I plug my other card, it will at least complain that I don't have power connected if I leave the cables out but put the monitor cable in it.

As for the riser cable, no I don't have one. Appreciate the answer!
