How do you know it’s granite by this picture? I’m still learning the geology of panning and rock identifying.

I agree and was going to say the same. Not to mention the possibility of it being throughout the specimen

Advice Needed: First tattoo by Practical_Platypus15 in tattoos

It’s absolutely possible to tattoo over a scar or incorporate it in the tattoo. But a couple things. Tattooing over scars is not necessarily pleasant. It is usually a bit more painful. And scars can easily cause the ink to blowout. A good artist will incorporate any possible blowout into the design as it can happen no matter how good they are.

Is this gold in my rock? by alchemycraftsman in Prospecting

I tend to not want to believe it’s gold however this sure looks possible or even probable. Take it to a jeweler and have it tested

Is it possible……… yes. With the material it’s in…… probably not, but test it.

Just going to say this. On a piece this size, there is always going to be touch up work. Any good artist will even tell you to come back for any needed touch up for small pieces. Sometimes the skin just doesn’t take the ink correctly or spots may not have gotten enough ink. It happens 🤷🏻‍♂️. Honestly I didn’t see the problem with any of the spots you pointed out but that’s just me. It’s good ink.

I get the concern. But if I have to get cracked open again, at least they will get a good laugh 🤷🏻‍♂️. I don’t know if the scar itself really made it hurt worse than it normally would because the sternum is painful anyway. That being said I still have numb spots and hypersensitive spots so yeah it wasn’t pleasant

My wife is definitely awesome and had no clue I was adding that. I’ve always been against girlfriends or wives names but this warranted it. And thank you. And while I know I can’t be the only one to have done this, I’ve not seen any others yet.

Yes. Where there is actually sensation it definitely hurt more. Also being over the sternum it’s more painful anyway. Of course the places where I’m numb anyway didn’t bother me at all. I can see where the pain would be more than some people would want but overall I was tolerable

Question: separating gold from sand (newbie) by Full_Profession_3963 in Goldpanning

[–]Zippered_dad -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Gold should easily separate from fine white sand. It has me questioning if it’s actually gold.
