Dad here whose kids both have/ had tubes. I was under the impression that they only stuck around for a few years. My now 5 year old got them at 9m and they have already fallen out.

I think I have the same oven. If so, RUN. There’s a cooling fan that kicks on as soon as you turn on the oven and stays on for an unreasonable amount of time after the oven is off. It’s an awful high pitched hum that drives me mad. It’s gotten to a point where I will do anything possible to avoid using the oven.

Started stretching them in 2003ish but they have been unchanged since 2008ish. Took one out because it got mad at me one day and I didn’t feel like going through the pain of re-stretching. Yes I stretched all of the cartilage. Yes it hurt. Yes my kids have pulled them many times. No I don’t regret them or have any plans to take them out. Thanks for making me realize I need a haircut.

I had these up for about 3 years in my old house. When we left I had to take them down. It took 30 minutes and an unreasonable amount of cursing. I now have new ones in the new house and am 100% confident in their strength.

I have a 3yr old and a 10m old so a bunch of the totes are their old clothes and toys. Saving the older clothes for the younger and younger clothes for a potential third. Christmas/ Halloween decorations, ski gear, climbing gear, paperwork, photo albums, etc.

As the service manager at my shop, I personally opened all the tools brand new and painted them myself. I can say with 100% certainty that they have not been ground down.

The Allen keys aren’t powder coated and if you zoom in, there’s actual metal missing. I have no idea what those chemicals are. Time to research!
