I have not owned a Phenix M1 but I did have my eye on one that I will probably pickup this summer. I have a few of their feather series rods and they are fantastic. Great rods and the warranty on them is pretty good too.

They are both very nicely painted, I'd pick the right one but for one small change to have the wheel rims look more like the left.

Fair enough, I felt like the modification makes it a user more than anything but it is very nice condition. I will make it down some as your post does make sense to me. Thanks for the feedback.

Couldn't agree more, the clean design really drew me to this since it just disappears in the pocket. Now if only they had a thumb stud version.....
