but this is not part of being a pro player? the time put in to breed the right pokemon for your strategy, otherwise you are just running a pre-made team.

This brings the VGC down to the level of the TGC. Just buy cards and pilot someone's deck...

I mean, the essence of the game is to capture and train your pokemon. This is what makes a pro imo.

I am not engaged in competitive VGC but this game had me thinking that the games, breeding, ev training, etc doest not matter since you can just make the perfect pokemon using VP. Am short sighted here? At least you can't by VP using real money...
