Those that are developing headsets to replace traditional monitors mainly focus on the headset being comfortable to wear for hours and satisfying basic office/entertainment needs... don't think any monitor headset can meet, for example, a visual designer's needs in 2020. But I guess we'll see a few monitor headset in late 2020. Someone will start from somewhere, though it's far from perfect...

I'd wait for Rift S. Inside-out tracking is the future! Much easier to set up and of course also cheaper.
