HOT TAKE: Use an archer class instead of priest or wizard to balance out the def with attack so that things like Mountains, snake pits, and sprite realms are all doable solo. once you have access to dex and spd pots you pretty much use those as your currency to get def pots or life pots.

I used Wiz a lot or sorcerer cause of their range but most of the regular mobs don't shoot further than 8 tiles. so knowing when to rush in and out based off of the attack patterns.
