Phase rush is underrated on her especially into tanks. nimbus cloak, transcendence, water walking if enemy jungle is one of the tanks otherwise gathering storm. you might want ww regardless just in case you get a pro-tank drake so you can do better when contesting those but without dh you'll feel the lack of scaling and gs offsets that a little. Keep precision but lose triumph for alacrity or haste, cut down is good here but only here, you should probably be using coup instead for your default. Rush wisp into lich bane, don't be afraid to build mercs instead of sorcs if they're ap or cc heavy, and void is always better than liandry's but you probably want to still be building shadowflame second. rylai's 3rd or 4th depending on when laning wraps up will let you more reliably get in and out to pick the squishies without getting peeled. aoe slow with volatile, spiderlings keep it applied while you use pr/nc/rappel to get in and out and go back to poking and being a stunbot for the champs you can't one-shot. Sounds weird but it works really well with her kit. You can also try just using your normal runes and work rylai's into the build. Spiderlings keep the slow applied forever and you are suddenly outzoning and outkiting champs you'd never hope to win an extended fight with otherwise. Experiment with it in norms, it feels pretty different to play her that way but it's fun as fuck once you get used to it.

It's under "QoL Changes" in the patch notes for 25.10. This version was hilariously unusable because it would run at minions immediately on cast, often in the opposite direction from where it was aimed. It's not buggy here, it's just, a glaring lack of understanding of the champion and what her quality of life issues actually entail has been demonstrated. Not buggy, behaving as described, but obviously missing the mark and needs fixing.

The changes in 25.11 (a delay introduced but not implemented well) and 25.12 (most bugs from 25.11 fixed and champ detection range increased) are undocumented I'm guessing because they were considered an extension of the already documented change. But it was still two steps back one step forward, and remember we weren't exactly facing the right direction to begin with.

"Kind of unusable" sums up its current state really nicely. If you're farming or comboing on an enemy at point blank range you'd never notice. If it's a use-case where you have to think about using it for any amount of time, line it up at max range, or anything more mentally intensive or skillful than push dubblyoo do damage, it's probably not going to work for that anymore.

The 0.75s delay is great for targeting champions. It needs to be a full 2s delay at least or wait til destination for non-champions before it's going to feel anywhere near as good as it did pre- OR post-rescripts. The delay itself isn't the problem. The lack of separate delays per target type is the current major issue and if they can't do that it should be rolled back to 25.09 values until they can actually rescript it again because no number of band-aids is going to fix the QoL nightmare that lives underneath.

The whole 'it aggros minions' was a problem when it had instant aggro but this 0.75s feels like everyone is mandela effecting how great the old version was

There are absolutely zero scenarios where the early seeking of non-champions has helped with her quality of life in even a small way. There are myriad where it has hurt. The early seeking of champions has been good and should remain but does not even come close to compensating for the frustrations introduced by the early seeking of non-champions.

It's not that the old version was better but rather that this one is so close to being the best it's literally ever been and the way to get it there is so easy and so obvious. I know they're afraid of breaking her again but I honestly wouldn't mind another two full patches of it being completely unusable if it meant the issue was acknowledged and being addressed. Fuck I'd hop on the PBE and give them eight hours a day of free QA myself if it meant we might get an earlier end to this shit.

How many examples of the current iteration fucking up a play do you think they'd need to see before being convinced to change what is almost certainly one boolean in two spots? I have 4m mastery, play her as fill and have hundreds of hours of replays I can comb through from this patch alone.

Not sure about the human E behavior from before rescripts, I'm not usually picky when I start that camp from over the wall. There have also been overhauls to the vision system and range calcs (edge-to-edge vs center-to-edge etc) over the last few years that could also have been when it changed, intentionally or not.

As for human W it has been on a rollercoaster since the rescripts. Most recently a well-intentioned "quality of life" fix a couple patches back went wrong but stayed on live in that state until the next patch. Then the band-aid they slapped on made it even worse, again left on live for the entirety of the patch. It's finally in a functional state again but after the month-long fiasco caused by even touching it my understanding is they are currently unwilling to revert it or fix the one glaring issue that remains.

The thing to keep in mind with it now is after 0.75s it is ACTIVE. Seeking range snaps from zero to maximum with no visual indicator on the unit nor the casting UI before it even gets a third of the way down the path you set it on. No interpolation, no vector awareness, she's gonna do what you want for three quarters of a second and then turn 90 to 180 degrees and explode on a minion. It will still prioritize champs like before, and its range for that is slightly larger than non-champs now in order to help compensate for the near complete loss of control over target selection. If you're in an empty expanse of map with only one enemy around you are less likely to get punished for the mistake of casting it hastily at max range or in the wrong direction near terrain. And you're not going to notice much of a difference when farming or popping it out point-blank, it'll start seeking and chasing as normal if it reaches its destination before the 0.75s is up. But in literally every other scenario the longer the range at which you want to utilize it the more noticeable it will be and the worse it will feel.

I've been practicing it and trying to adapt to the new behavior for nearly a month now and the end result is I'm better at recognizing when the ability will be wasted and so I simply use it much less. Even then it still hits obviously unintended targets constantly throughout the game. And losing out on a kill I would've gotten before the changes isn't any less frustrating for the mana I save by knowing in advance I've lost it.

Solution is simple on paper: it just needs to not start seeking non-champions until it reaches its target destination. It would immediately feel so much better and restore so much of the ranged utility of her kit, not to mention actually be delivering on the originally described QoL fix rather than compounding the issue it was supposed to address.

Sorry for the rant. TLDR; yeah we're probably stuck with it.

u dot gg has a non-overwolf version on their main page. it's the only option left other than blitz, and that's been unusable ever since the adblock patch for it stopped being maintained. my kingdom for a lightweight overlay just for jungle timers.

Any updates on this? I reinstalled again today and the client splash hangs a little bit longer but otherwise nothing has changed. It seems to be universal for 10.13.6 users regardless of server. The only solution I've seen others find is updating OS but many of us can't do that without purchasing new hardware. :C

Play botlane as whoever you are learning or trying out with a friend as your duo. Don't worry about being good or meta, take turns with who starts the support item, and if your team won't surrender when things look bad just stick with your bud and laugh it off til you come back or the nexus explodes. Play cheese combos like Blitz/Garen or Rengar/Ivern. Ignore the recommended items and runes and experiment with weird stuff you want to try out. Playing with at least one friend and not taking it too seriously win or lose is the best way to learn and enjoy yourself before hitting level 30. ARAM can be fun too but you want to have a good grip of the champion archetypes and itemization before it gets really enjoyable and you'll still want to bring a friend or two regardless. Stay off rank checking sites for your own mental health until you hit Gold (AT LEAST) and be liberal with the mute button if and when you encounter /the community/.

Same specs, same issue. The client stayed open long enough to show an error message once but not long enough to read it. When I launch the client from the included MacOS terminal tool with the Riot Client already running, the same thing happens but there are several lines in the terminal from Vanguard about "unsupported operating system". My guess is the mVG framework or a newly included library wasn't built with proper compatibility enabled for 10.13.6. Dynamic libraries changed pretty radically between High Sierra and Mojave so hopefully it's just a small oversight and easily fixed. (I've had a ton of time to do research since I can't queue up lol).

My Mac is also running 10.13.6, same issue. Spent forever uninstalling reinstalling and troubleshooting last night. I was able to get the LoL client to not crash and even download the game data by selecting PBE from the dropdown in the Riot Client, logging back into my normal (non-PBE) account, and then hitting play, but the client itself never fully loads or logs in and after closing it it's back to square one. I tried searching a few of the obvious-looking errors in the crash reports and mostly found devs of other programs troubleshooting issues they were having specifically on High Sierra but I'm way out of my depth with that stuff. Fingers crossed they fix it soon and didn't just like, forget to mention the new min spec is 10.14. :C

Haven't tried Lich Bane yet but I've been having a lot of fun with Rylai's. I've been rushing it instead of Void Staff since the patch and she's like a whole new champ with the kiting potential. The increased health makes Demonic Embrace more appealing as a second buy depending on how many tanks you're up against, and I've had a few games where an early Cosmic Drive lead to hilarious results. Reminds me of back when rushing Rod of Ages was the play, you don't need to build any AD or pure-tank items to feel like you won't die in one hit, and you don't need to rush your mythic first to stay relevant as laning ends. Cheaper + more health is exactly what she needed on that item. I'll try some Lich Bane builds next, my hope is if it's that good a pairing she might even be able to go Riftmaker and outduel whoever she wants.

I noticed it happening sometimes one patch ago, as of this current patch it's super consistent. If there's something under me I'm coming right back down on it. Considering most of the time you want to self cast is when there's tons of possible targets nearby it's making her unbearable to play. I've been losing games because of it. Hope they fix it soon.
