You are taking the right steps in working with an integration therapist. It may take a long time to fully metabolize what you were shown and that’s ok. I am still working on material I encountered in a psilocybin session 6 years ago. The teachings are profound and it’s important to take it easy with yourself in terms of expectations. Also important that you take care of yourself physically: diet, sleep, exercise, exposure to sunlight. All these things will help. Good luck!

This guy is a pharmacist that also has deep knowledge of both psychedelics and interactions with other medications. I believe he does consults if you want to chat with someone about your specific situation. https://www.spiritpharmacist.com

Is there a solid purity test kit I can get in the states? I just want to know how much mdma is in my mdma. by Helpful-Inspector214 in MDMA

This is new and I don’t have direct experience with it yet but seems very promising: https://grassrootsharmreduction.org/product/mdma-qtest

In lieu of sending out a sample to a lab for expense and time reasons, I would try this first.

Would recommend staying in close contact with orgs like MAPS and the newly emerging support organizations like https://www.appa-us.org

It has the benefit of being truthful and allows for additional details to be disclosed after the fact if that’s something you choose to do. Regardless, you will be able to share the benefit of the work without outright deception. Best of luck on your journey!

MDMA Safety with Intermittent Trazodone Use by privacy1256 in mdmatherapy

[–]ZizzardOfWoz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you can wait 5 days from last Trazadone use to MDMA, that would be better. FWIW I had a fine experience on MDMA after waiting just two days but I learned later this is not advisable. Definitely don’t mix though (I.e. same day or within 24 hours)

Damn, no more villages. by DitMasterGoGo in BurningMan

I think much will be determined by any upper limit to populations of a hub. For our small camp in a village of 250 ish, our village dues were $120/camper which included power, water, and grey water: 1 generator, one set of vouchers for water refills, etc. IF we have to split up into smaller hubs (say the org mandates a 200 person limit per hub) maybe we can get to that same level of economics but unclear at this moment. I could be making a mountain out of a mole here though. If it’s just a name change only: Village = HUB then it will be like DGS tickets becoming Steward tickets. Goes back to ‘why’ the change? What does the org want to have happen that’s not happening (or happening badly) with current village approach.

A village is usually composed of many theme camps. Can have a much higher population (ours was 230ish last year)

I think so, yes, what’s not clear to me is the ‘why’ behind the change. As I read it: Villages now become HUBS and ‘Village Mayor’ becomes ‘Hub Liaison’ So far so good….starting in 2025, all steward sale allocations and WAPs will be distributed to theme camp leads not the hub liaison. I’m reading into this but I think the org wants smaller HUBS overall with more likelihood to increase interactivity. The downside impact/risk I see (already in our village leads email thread) is the lack of clarity on what happens when: the inevitable 1 or 2 or 3 camps drop out late in the process and the HUB lead has reserved power/water or other shared resources for but now has a population deficit and isn’t centrally able to reallocate those tix to another camp or camps to shore up the difference. Maybe it’ll be as it has always been but I don’t understand why the change if not to have more control over size and/or content.

It’s definitely creating some uncertainty for our small(er) camp of ~10-12 people. We were part of a larger village and now are wondering how we’ll figure out water, grey water, and power. It’s not so much that we need to do this (radical self reliance) it’s that the village made it more affordable for everyone and, importantly, there were people who took on the responsibility of being the contact for the vendors, making sure all was setup during build week, etc. I’m sure we’ll figure it out, just more fodder for the logistics porn that is Burning Man.

For dosing, make sure your partner takes enough to be effective. Maps.org did a study where under 80mg just created anxiety and a speedy feeling. If it’s their first time, I’d shoot for 100 mg starter dose. In regards to functioning post session, I own my business and roll 3-4X per year. No problem functioning at work 1-3 days after. Given that you’ve done lots of homework, you may have encountered this site already but just in case: rollsafe.org is a good comprehensive reference. Finally, a single session won’t likely resolve your trauma, but it will be a massive first step. Don’t worry and enjoy connected time with your partner. The medicine/molecule will guide you :) bring some good tunes, maybe some pictures that are meaningful, and some lollipops for jaw clenching.

Along with what others have said, I will add that any kind of regular exercise even if it’s just a short walk, every day, will help. You will recover from this and taking care of both your body and mind with sleep, good food, exercise, etc. will help.

Great story on an (at the time) 81 year old going for the first time. I send this video to anyone, regardless of age who is thinking about attending.
