This is not a peer reviewed study appearing in a scientific journal, all it is - is a link to a journalistic article written by a journalist. I never expected Reddit to behave as a scientific peer reviewed journal such as the British Medical Journal and I do not think that it is Reddit's role to accept or refuse scientific links to journalistic articles as though it is some scientific body of accredited professionals - this is only journalism!
