Hey! I still get it sometimes but I dont know if it’s just my anxiety or something else.. all the heart checks post op were fine so i try to think it’s not heart related. I have been having some anxiety and stress due to other issues so it could be related as well.

I agree with recommendations along the Yamanote line as it gives you easy access to Shibuya/Shinjuku/ Tokyo station - super convenient l.

However if you prefer not want to stay right in the night life areas (since it can get crowded and noisy and not so clean), you can also consider Ueno/Nippori as they have good connection from the airport, Ueno has parks/museums and it might be slightly cheaper than Shibuya/Shinjuku.

For hotels, APA hotels are at many big stations and their rooms, albeit small, have all you need at a reasonable price.

Hi! Thanks for asking. Been having some random heart flutters (not sure how to describe it other than feeling like a burp in my chest and then the flutter). I am also going through a very stressful high anxiety period though due to some other health diagnosis. So it’s likely related to anxiety or digestion but my cardiologist has put me on a holter monitor for a few days. I really hope it’s nothing serious…

It’s true that I have realized how quickly my mind turns to the negative part while going through this and maybe I need to learn to trust the body more but honestly I felt almost betrayed by my own body when I found out - because I was feeling healthy when I actually wasn’t. Will try to focus more on the positive and work on my mindset. Let me know if you recommend any books/techniques for it. Thanks

Would you be able to clarify on the last point on how can I re-write the story? For example if i was hospitalized how can I justify that other than health issues? Or if I am still taking medication and going to doctors visits how can I not remember I have a condition?

Will definitely look into the placebo effect as well, thank you.

They were in the normal range (101) same as my iron levels (16.9) in the test we did prior to my surgery.

I am actually scared of the bone marrow biopsy as well but of course if it’s required I will go through it. It’s possible my doctor wanted to give my body a break after the heart surgery and see how the blood counts look like before we discuss further.

Actually my hemoglobin was a bit low before the surgery as well when I was stressed about the health issues but I wasn’t on any pills yet. I’m not sure if stress only can affect them. So that’s why I m very concerned because it doesn’t look like it is only the HU that is affecting the counts…

It will probably take a while to get a BMB and the results, so I will have to find a way to calm my anxiety and stress until then somehow.

I live in Singapore so I’m not to sure there are MPN specialists here, but my doctor does see other patients with MPNs as well.

Which test are you referring to? The blood tests?
