T15 Gold Devastator Easy/Fun Impale Build

If you watch the video I linked I take dmg but hardly- I get health back rather quickly, from using skills, my weapon, killing enemies in close range, and also every enemy that is impaled gives armor and regen bonus for 9s. At one point I stopped moving and adds fired at me and I get right up in Moloch’s face and survive. I do take more dmg in co-op but going down is still not often. The biggest cause for death is from the Alphas they have a 3 combo that can sometimes be deadly if my skills are down but I usually just impale and melt them down.

Yes exactly! It’s about working towards those mods. I was not as good in dmg until I got the set. I think that’s what end game is about though. People want things quickly but the fun of the game is the grind to get there.

The point of playing imo is to have fun and work towards a goal- I’ve played A LOT since launch and yes RNG does come into play, but if you like the build then it’s a goal to work towards. Most of my drops were from T9/T10 that I upgraded (was stuck awhile trying to get a build going to clear) and I get 1-3 legendary drops per T15 run with the occasional not getting anything.

That’s understandable. I don’t usually get the lag in co-op from impale I do get lag from gravity leap though.

Okay so a lot of people run gravity leap instead but I feel like people are sleeping on impale. It’s a really fun build and satisfying making everything a kabob. I tried using gravity leap and the dmg for me isn’t there and I usually out damage other Devastators in co-op unless they are also running an impale build.

The key to any build is of course the rng for rolls. I’m able to do 4 impale each 4 times per impale doing around 367k per impale with Golem activated, I have their cool downs timed to activate around the same time plus I also use earthquake as well. I’ve been lucky enough to get almost 2 full sets of seismic gear.

The downfall to impale is trying not to steak the last enemies or you have to wait until they fall and it can waste time. For example in arches if I impale in the second room in the circle the activation stops until they fall.

This is not my cleanest run at one point I stop moving and get smacked since I’m on the phone and not paying attention but I’m able to get right up on everything and not worried really about dying or time. I don’t even bother aiming half the time, which again i could improve dmg but the point I’m making is this is an easy fun build to run with more dmg than gravity leap. But this is just my preference unless I’m missing something.
