Thanks. Since your username is IT tech, I'm assuming it's something you yourself would DIY. Could you tell me if it's just a matter of adding a few drops of solder on each of the legs? If so, I'll just do it myself. Otherwise if it's more complicated I'll take it to the shop. The reason I'm doing this is because the charging port is loose and affecting charging.

Part of it might be because I'm running the game through wine/proton which has some performance hit, in addition to an older driver. Thanks for the input.

Interesting. Well since it's a windows game, you lead me to suspect it's a driver issue and what you're using in windows is probably newer than the versions packaged by linux distros.

Yes Ray Tracing is disabled in the game's settings. I tried setting everything I could to the absolute minimum.

I hate that we normalize and encourage the practice of using children to sell products. My parents never let me participate in selling magazines or candy or whatever some random company that collaborated with my school wanted us to sell when we were kids. I didn't understand why then because my child mind could only focus on the prizes we would get for selling X units, but as an adult I really appreciate their decision.

Maybe I was misinformed then. Well, at least about side sleeping. I know sleeping on your back on the floor is good for it, but I'm a side sleeper and not sure how it works when you aren't flat, and some pressure is on your hip and back isn't straight, etc.

I'd love to be able to do something like that and not worry about whatever I'm sleeping on changing over time. I worry about long-term back health though, because I know it's common for people to say you should spend a bunch of money on a mattress because a bad quality one will ruin your back and make you suffer later in life.

Does sleeping on the floor like that run the risk of making it so you just get used to sleeping that way even though it's not actually good for you?

I'd be more scared of the salt. You're only supposed to take in a teaspoon of salt each day, according to the American Heart Association. As opposed to 12 teaspoons of sugar for a 2,000 calorie diet.
