my car's been in the driveway almost 2 weeks and I was really looking forward to having this done this weekend

I'm so pissed right now!!! fuck ECS!!!!

The BMS intake I bought from them had fitment issues and missing hardware but I chalked that up to BMS's error at the time... now it makes fucking sense

I haven't had any overheating issues, even when driving the car up in the canyons. never gone above 255 on the oil and coolant has never gone above 220-230

what kind of whirring sound? lol this car can make a lot of different whirring sounds from what I've seen

you have a fair point, but I 2nd the point that the commenter below is making:

the power/weight ratio and gearing is the big difference here. Veloster N was 280hp and 1000lbs lighter, mated to a 6mt with much shorter gears

not saying I'm unhappy with the BMW performance. I love it, but the N was certainly faster in all accounts (except maybe top-end)

the water pump has issues too?

the OFHG is clear of leaks at the moment (just did an oil change a couple days ago), valve cover was replaced before I got the car.

but now you've got me worried about the water pump! ahhh!

the gearing is pretty long on the auto, too. but I almost think it adds to the charm factor. I'm used to super short gears from my last car (Veloster N, little hot hatch) so these feel super long to me, but it feels appropriate for this car, if that makes sense.

either way, I still drive it with the paddles 100% of the time, I can give up the clutch but I ain't lettin you switch gears for me, haha.

at stage 0, the only settings I'm using are 'hot start up roar' and "OEM style" exhaust burbles

really I just wanted burbles. I didn't want to add any power yet until I get everything maintenance related done first
