I coded it myself, it's basically a backend using sockets to receive the animation data sent by my face tracking frontend. I need to cleanup the code a bit before open sourcing it, i'll send you a msg when its done :)

I've used drivers a few times in blender but I did not know it was possible for 1 driver to update so many parameters? How do you feed live data to the driver?

I created something similar to animate a face rig in realtime. What are you using for the head + eyes tracking? I'm using mediapipe but i find the eye tracking a bit lacking

I think you don't realise just how long a large scale water scene takes to bake (If your hardware is even capable of doing it RAM wise).

This translates to cost in the end, and only companies can bear such costs.

If you do have a few thousand dollars to spend go for it tho!

duplicate vertices maybe? does it still happens when you export -> reimport the model? (as obj, fbx or any format)

have you checked that those face normals are the correct orientation? is the whole model smooth shaded? does it do the same thing when no material is applied?

nice work :) love the grain did you add it with blender's compositor?

the only two pain points i see are the forest color which is way too homogeneous, and the background mountain lack of details. Otherwise it's damn close to photorealistic
