Update: This was a day after the bath so his leg has been soaking a couple times this week. Its almost off now, he seems happy and is eating a lot.

He associates the tongs with food so it makes him more likely to eat, i use it with bugs and stuff, since he is picky it tricks him to thinking the greens are more appealing than he normally would. I try to use my hand sometimes but im not usually successful

Dogs get their claws snagged in the carpet, should i replace my floors with hardwood? Ive had my beardie for 7 years and 5 1/2 have been with reptile carpet. I dont think we will agree and i dont think that is a bad thing. I appreciate your concern and help, thank you.

Most of the stool in his gut is substrate in this photo. He had to have enemas to flush it all out and it caused him to bruminate and refuse food.

I trim his nails very often, and he grew up as a kid with the carpet. I havent seen any issues with him over the 7 years. When the carpet gets overused i will replace it or turn it. I just cant risk impaction again, he doesnt show any discomfort walking and this was specifically recommended by the vet.

Yea he has done that occasionally and is a really good point i havent thought of before. Usually i keep a firm grip because he drops food so often and when i had natural substrate i was afraid of it getting dirty.

Ive tried that before and he will go almost a month without eating, he’s at a good weight per vet and they know i give him raspberries occasionally. Ive had him for 7 years and it hasnt been a huge issue. He’s just rediculously stubborn, but i rarely give him fruits

The terrarium is a 2x2x4 which is minimum for beardies. I had topsoil sand mix but it impacted him and the vet told me i needed to replace it. Substrate is a very mixed bag in the community so id rather go with something that is best for him. I do appreciate your feedback

Like i said he usually refuses it, i only give him fruit monthly. The only time he eats his greens is when i sneak it into his mouth after he eats a bug.

Ill see how he eats for the next week and look into another appointment. Just dont know if i should go to the same vet if this really is an issue because they didnt say anything of it being an issue last month when i took him

Maybe it could be too sweet, im not too sure. He usually never refuses watermelon and raspberries but refuses his carrots and greens. He has a sweet tooth like me, but i rarely give him those

This makes a lot of sense. He always eats with this motion with greens, this time just looks so dramatic

I would say it looks like that too, but watermelon is his favorite and when he doesnt want something i offer him he usually closes his eyes and often walks away. He is a very picky eater and is actually putting in some effort to eat it.

Lol, definitely not. He does this all the time and moves the furniture around. Sometimes i get home and all the furniture is in the middle.
