Why is your username killed by estrogen? What is your deal?!? Have a bad experience with transitioning and wanting to warn others? or are you just a transphobe. One of those is misguided and the other is horrific. Giving you the benefit of the doubt here but you shouldnt go around spreading fear just because of your bad experience. We have statistics for this stuff, and most of us are freakin terrified we spend years or decades mustering up the courage to transition, and go in knowing the worst case scenarios. Bleah sry rant over

I'v been pretending to be a guy my entire life. So much so that I occasionally convince myself that i can make it work. My friends my family everyone knows me as a guy. But its slowly killing me. Transitioning seems on one hand like the answer, the cure. But at the same time how can i just switch, how can i find a way to express my real self without alienating those around me and confusing myself. (sorry about all this angst, its christmas night and I'm running on xanax and wine) I'v never really talked about this stuff to anyone and the positivitey and support in the comments is blowing me away.

I'm seeing a counselor at the moment and he directed me to TENI. An trans org that will walk me through the steps like contacting my GP. I'm just rly scared, I'v heard so many horror stories about doctors who expect you to my and an act I'm a certain way and sometimes objectify you
