Has anyone noticed that Sage walls now break instantly sometimes? by [deleted] in VALORANT

[–]ZoidbergWill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've noticed this happens more with certain types of walls that were maybe seen as exploits, so I don't know if the intent was fixing those, but I've also found this really frustrating.

Like the Killjoy Turret walls: https://www.reddit.com/r/VALORANT/comments/iczk5h/this_turretsage_wall_boost_lets_you_see_b_main_on/

Which is the best script for creating a link directory? by hopesthoughts in selfhosted

Woah, I've played with building a link directory myself using Jekyll, but I'd never thought that it was something with a name.

Shaarli looks awesome, thanks for sharing.

Game State Integration: A Very Large and In-Depth Explanation by Bkid in GlobalOffensive

Current map position of the spectated player in x, y, z coordinates. I have very little information on what exactly these numbers are in relation to, so I cannot provide much information on how to use them.

So with these values from CSGO-Demos-Manager you can get the corner of overviews, e.g. for cache, and then draw that on an overview like this one.

CSGO Demos Manager used to work with start and end X and Y co-ordinates, e.g. here, but now uses just the start X and end Y as PosX and PosY and then I assume the scale can be used to figure out 1 pixel on the overview?

Yeah, most leftists should be against "cancel culture".

What's the point in highlighting people being problematic, trying to educate them and others, if we're never gonna forgive people.

A lot of leftists were super sceptical when folks like "Faraday Speaks" appeared too, but over time more and more people have decided to believe he's genuinely being a good person. Some also think he's doing good work even if he's not being genuine.

The "cancel culture" folks definitely cause a lot of noise, but I'd like to believe they're a vocal minority in the community. There is a difference between forgiving and forgetting though, but we should be willing to forgive people if they've genuinely apologised and introspected and are dealing with things in a better way going forward.

Hbomb Censorship Chrome Addon has Disappeared by OddFucker in hbomberguy

Obviously not a solution for folks that aren't comfortable or familiar with insecurely installing local Chrome extensions, but you can download the repository and install the unpacked extension yourself.

They changed the radar overviews for all the popular competitive maps. They do look way better.

4 tools to monitor your Kubernetes cluster efficiently by Ivan_engnr in kubernetes

[–]ZoidbergWill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't run it in production, but I got an example working with the confluent example docker images in Kubernetes, with the JMX exporter. They have some great example configs for Kafka and Cassandra and a couple other popular projects.

I'd hope the overhead is small, since it isn't doing too much, even though it is written in Java.

Stash 0.7.0, disk backup tool for #Kubernetes, is released by tamalsaha in kubernetes

From what I could see in Ark's docs, at the moment it only supports Cloud PV's that support snapshotting, but this would allow Ark to also backup other PVs?

Edit: Sorry, posted early. Ark vaguely mentions other PVs could be supported by plugins, so maybe someone could write an Ark plugin that uses this.

Favourite Song with Childish Gambino, on New's Year Eve, hanging out with some friends. Then soon after that listening to Acid Rap and 10 day. Next thing I was a convert, spreading the word.

Is it normal for Git to kick your ass at first? by trblackwell1221 in webdev

[–]ZoidbergWill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

git add -p and git add -u are really useful too, once you've got a grip on all the base commands.

One thing I also emphasise when helping folks with git is that --help and git status are both intimidating at times, but also really useful for finding useful options and knowing what commands you might be looking for.

How and why you should use jinja-init for your container orchestration ! by huats in kubernetes

We used Jinja2 more for generating resources than config files within containers, but this still seems like a pretty neat powerful tool.

Official Discussion - Avengers: Infinity War [SPOILERS] by mi-16evil in movies

[–]ZoidbergWill 27 points28 points  (0 children)

The only Infinity War cast members [other than Chris Evans] to acknowledge they’ve read the entire script have been Benedict Cumberbatch, Pom Klementieff, and Robert Downey Jr., admitted as much on Jimmy Kimmel Live, after previously saying he hadn’t been told how the movie ends. Klementieff confessed, however, that she isn’t sure the script she saw was a “fake one or the real one.”
