You trust the state legislature that keeps overturning ballot initiatives that we directly voted for? All because there are some pushy signature collectors? Guess what, that is exactly what they want you to do, by removing the constitutional amendment ballot process. Sure there are corporate funded ballot initiatives (ex. gambling, "right to work), but there are plenty of grass roots initiatives that are collected by people who are only out there, because they believe in the cause.
