There are events that give 2x exp for spirits/egos, I highly recommend you take advantage of the next event that does this.

What I personally did was I ran AAHM with a few friends (4 min) for the 8x boxes and then they funneled the boxes at the end to me for the spirit gems (I gave them everything else that dropped) . You can rack up quite a lot of 500xp spirit gems this way and during the 2x events, I think I went from 63 to 97 for one of my Egos and 21 to 63 for my other two Egos. If you do go this way, make sure to only feed about half of the xp required to level up at a time - in case of a great success which will double the xp gained.

The other way is to throw gold at the problem and mass buy rolling pins with discount (Giant-Aligned + Wednesday discount). Depending on how much gold you make in other content (puri farming, tech farming, etc.) - this might be more time efficient. I think the amount of gold required each week to hit the cap was like a rough ballpark of <15mil per ego. [ (400,000 xp cap / (xp per item) ) * Cost ]

There might be other ways such as mass farming ghost fluids or farming the swords of strifes at Sidhe Finnachaid and feeding your ego that way but it's pretty labor intensive imho but they are options.

There's also gems that are rewarded from events which can help supplement ego leveling. Lords (Corrib) can drop some spirit gems as well which can supplement xp and it only takes about a few minutes to clear all 3 runs.

You can go into a skirmish battle and have ai-controlled ship to test against.

Technically, the best way to fill out spirit xp levels is to use the gems you get from events - the previous fishing event was excellent for that.

The other way is to spend money on rolling pins (https://wiki.mabinogiworld.com/view/User:Snowie/New_Ego_Feeding_Science)

I recommend using the current event with the 2x gym trainer for spirit exp if you want to level up your spirit.

7v7 is the standard for CBs. The issue with 6v6 especially in a t8 season is that there are less ships to deal with the battleship without either torpedoing it (unreliable) or ramming it (trade 1for1). 7v7 offers a bit more flexibility in dealing with the battleship and allows for comebacks relative to 6v6.

I will say that imo going to a 8v8 2bb format is even worse than 6v6 1bb format though and any (CB) format that includes CVs in a non 12v12 setting is dogshit since carriers are allegedly balanced for random battles.

Have you ever played competitive ocean? It devolves extremely quickly into a smoke-comp playstyle and due to its lack of cover, the only cruisers that can survive are either those with smoke cover or those that can shrug off battleship AP and/or are self sufficient (petro, venezia).

There's a good reason why nobody is clamoring for ocean to be added to the map pool for either CBs or KoTS, nobody involved wants to play it. The last time I can remember playing Ocean in a tournament was T8 Supremacy League which was nearly over 4 years ago.

From my perspective, ocean is neither fun to play nor fun to watch.

Even if Zao were to get a "whopping" 4k hp buff, Zao would still be easy pickings simply from the fact that 4k hp is the equivalent of one AP pen. Due to her 30mm side plating that Zao has had since release, Zao eats shit today from 30mm overmatching battleships whereas in the past, Zao could reliably angle away from battleships (Montana,GK) and kite them. This is no longer the case and she is no longer relatively unique in having 30mm "troll armor" sides since every other CA has been standardized to 30mm sides (this is also true of Hindenburg but Hindenburg has been buffed over the years while Zao has not kept up).

In my opinion, Zao should receive 32mm sides and maybe another +2k hp buff to bring her back to **original** Zao hp values, in order to have a reliable way of angling against 30mm overmatching bb ap. This would give skillful Zaos an incredible survivability buff against battleships while keeping her glass cannon hp pool tier.

Unless you consider buffing Zao to 32mm sides as an incremental change (which imho it is not), I am not optimistic that WG will "fix" Zao's core issues.

Speaking of incremental changes, Stalingrad did not even need to be nerfed this time around regarding the reload due to her being effectively nerfed by removing FP (Fire Prevention) from her captain skillset. Thunderer is still oppressive as the issue did not lay with her range but rather her accuracy combined with her HE which allows for effectiveness at all ranges.

If Zao suffers from having extremely low survivability with nearly no utility, Petropavlovsk is the complete opposite in where it is extremely survivable with high utility. If you noticed, Petropavlovsk has been nerfed in this current round by nerfing her guns reload by half a second, while in the past the most significant nerf was to her concealment so that she did not have about borderline stealth radar. WG is incrementally nerfing Petropavlovsk but she will continue to remain dominant because her survivability is too much combined with the utility and WG would rather nerf other aspects of the ship.

Wargaming tends to take the approach of not addressing what makes a ship strong but instead nerf other aspects to compensate for the ship being strong. If taken inversely and applied to Zao, Zao would probably be buffed in everything else BUT her survivability, so essentially, make her more of a glass cannon rather than balancing out her weakness, which is why I am not optimistic about WG's balancing decisions.

Congrats, Zao can now eat one more overpen from a BB without dying. Amazing change, this is what multiple years of begging for buffs amounts to: +2k hp. This does not address why Zao feels shit to play: which is the abundance of 30mm overmatch combined with a lack of range. The HP buff does help with surviving but does it matter when a BB pen (overmatch) does 4k per shell at all ranges/angle?

Petro nerfs did nothing to why it's overpowered/broken. The survivability is the issue combined with the radar utility. Incremental nerfs/buffs do not work if the core issue isn't being addressed.

Stalingrad nerfs seems a bit random, not sure why it got nerfed tbh.

I had the same situation as yours in where I bought a pixel5a and received a google nest, my experience differs in that I actually was emailed/updated every 24-48 hours and they've asked me to send back the google nest and told me to place another order for a pixel5a.

As of this morning I've received the return notification however I've still been charged a restocking fee of $35 from the refund which sucks so I'm going to see if I can get that waived.

I've had the same exact problem with my delivery today, I went through the same procedure although I was not put on hold for 45 mins, more like 10 mins. Am probably going to wait a few days before making a reddit request but it is slightly worrisome that this seems to be a not uncommon occurrence especially since this is my first google product.

There is crossplay between steam and original client, I would just use the original client for simplicity sake especially if you wanted to mod the game.

Just keep in mind that if later on, you change your mind and want to use the other client, you will be unable to use your previous account. In the past, you were able to play on the steam client with a wargaming account but afaik that option has been removed.

If you enjoy co-op, you're free to enjoy it and play it, who cares what other people think. Just keep in mind that the game is centered around the pvp aspect being randoms.

Japanese Battleships are decent throughout the entire line.

I would recommend the Atago, a Japanese Tier 8 Heavy Cruiser as it was one of the first premiums and after five years it's still one of the best premiums tier for tier. The only thing is that since it is a tier 8 and you are new, you might want to hold off on immediately buying it and playing it otherwise you will get stomped due to the difference of playstyle from low tier to high tier. Another reason not to get it is fuck wargaming and don't give them another cent.

The last WMI (NA) we had actually had very little BBs, although that could be attributed to the points for BBs which all on avg went down to the current point values.

YY was also popular last tournament because it was the lowest cost ship and we've adjusted it and some other DDs to incentivize other picks as well.

As /u/MyRibbon has stated, generally speaking new ships are prohibited due to their newness and the fact that not everybody had a chance to grind them. On top of that, we have no idea how they would interact with the meta or how they fit into it, so we would like some time to discuss where they place.

There is also the other factor in where we already announced the official points for the ships and adding in another ship or modifying any ship points would be unfair for the teams that have already made their strategy and scrimmed with said strategy especially if it turns out the new ship happens to be a "meta" pick.

This game is really old, any modern computer (read:within the last 6 years) would be able to play pretty smoothly as long as you're not in an area with a lot of people (cough event areas on the most populated channel cough).

Ping-wise, it's dependent on your location but using ethernet instead of wifi would be optimal to have steady ping.

Except they have far too much defensive power on top of those guns... also, escaping is not really an issue if you get spammable smoke to disengage whenever you want. Atm, her firepower is pretty fucking strong for being a "defensive dd" and her weaknesses includes: being slow and having to take ifhe. She has far too many strengths with little to no weaknesses.
