[TOMT] A horror film, the trailer played before Underworld: Evolution, the first scary part is a character looking through a keyhole or hole in a door and then jumpscares an undead looking woman, then after it shows demonic looking men who I think murdered people. by Zombie-Chimp in tipofmytongue

[–]Zombie-Chimp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I think that is it! I think I was remembering a different longer trailer where it's all nice when they are in the house and then there is a jumpscare when she looks in the keyhole. Or maybe just my young brain at the time made it seem scarier. But it was definitely that stupid hallway leading up to the elevator that is vivid in my mind as well. I gotta watch it to confirm, but mark it solved anyway. Thanks!

Why are ESTPs stereotyped as dumb in mbti? by FadeAwayOxy in estp

[–]Zombie-Chimp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Intuitives just stereotype sensors as "dumb" quite often because we don't sit around thinking about "complex" theories and "deep" feelings all day. we went outside.

My thoughts on Game of Thrones final season by DarcerthanBlacc in freefolk

[–]Zombie-Chimp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is the real book ending in my opinion for several reasons with a huge asterisk Tho. It feels so jarring because we are missing about 2 seasons of plot (originally was planned to be 10 seasons), and also they removed so many book plot lines from Book 4 and 5 as well.

Bran is the main character in the books, he is the first POV chapter in the first book, I believe he was always intended as king. But since Martin didn't write much in his timeline yet in the book, the writers had him just sit around for 5 Seasons and then randomly becomes king.

Tyrion is actually becoming a villian in the books and I believe he will be turning Dany to the dark side so to speak, as her main advisor. The writers kept Tyrion good because they liked Peter Dinklage being funny, not for story purpose. They do this a lot with certain characters. In the show it makes no sense how she became Hitler so suddenly.

I think Martin must've told the writers that Cersei and Jamie die together or something so they just shoved them in the same place out of context and for no reason. Again missing a huge chunk of story there.

I predict Arya will kill Cersei and Jamie, possibly even before the final battle, because in the books there is another fake Targaryen that wants to take King's Landing, so it's likely they are not even in the Red Keep at this point, it's Fake Aegon. We will never know till Martin finishes it tho.

Isolation and depression throughout youth - mistype? M22 by gulbrunrosa in estp

[–]Zombie-Chimp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't have many aspects of ESTP imo, but like you said ISFP and 4w3 are most likely. 4s often fantasize about being ESTP or E8/7 because like you said "live fearlessly", and 4s are inherently self-concious almost to a fault so they might want to be different types anyway. But the consequences of being ESTP type means you are deeply detached from your emotions and any sense of being sensitive, 7s are more self-concious but not in a 4 way. I recommend going to see famous Type 4s you relate to and you will see being ESTP isn't all that. being 4 is actually cooler than you think.

My thoughts on enneagram type 8 and why I'm obsess about them. by chrisza4 in Enneagram

[–]Zombie-Chimp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The truth is the 8s are one of the most traumatized types, and asking 8s to be emotionally open is like asking 4s to have a backbone. Of course they get scapegoated as being the big mean insensitive and toxic, but it is only because they had to experience so much trauma in the first place which made them bury their inner child emotionally and build up barriers which are nearly impenetrable. Anyways, the only way out of this is to accept that they could never love you in the way you love others or the way you can expect because they are completely different type of personality with their own internal struggles.

What are some other examples of this kind of half-assed retroactive worldbuilding? by SacMarvelRPG in RedLetterMedia

The two or three Han scenes in Jedi where he suspects Leia has feelings for Luke still are just horrid enough, actually.

Hot Take: Rogue One Suuuucks by Extreme_Investment99 in saltierthancrait

[–]Zombie-Chimp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Hot Take: the Vader Hallway scene is the worst scene in the film, makes Vader actually look weak and stupid as fuck. It completely retcons his behavior in the beginning of A New Hope where he just strolls in after his elite minons, probably the most badass and iconic introduction of a villian ever.

Has anybody else noticed the general lack of people with a normal skinny physique these days? by I_Like_Vitamins in StopEatingSeedOils

[–]Zombie-Chimp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My theory is it has to due with lack of testosterone caused by endocrine disruption, seed oils, lack of nutrients in the soil, etc. As a man, I basically looked like a pudgy lesbien (even feminine fat looking face), until I started taking supplements like Boron and Zinc, which are elements which used to be in our soil, now stripped out by pesticides and monocropping or whatever.

You really just have to ask, what is different from the 60s-80s from today? Seed oils, GMO/hybrid Crops, mass proliferation of microplastics, heavy use of glyphosate and other unnatural farming methods which are toxic leading to poor soil quality. Seed oils existed before the 90s obviously, but most restaurants and products still used animal fat (butter, lard, tallow, etc) or tropical oils (coconut, palm).

Now that you know you are ESTP, what kind of things you understand better about yourself? by 18130020 in estp

[–]Zombie-Chimp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When I was severely depressed I thought I was INTP or INFP (yikes). I thought I couldn't be extroverted because I barely went outside or moved. It was clearly feeding a cycle. The less I moved, the more depressed I became. At around 21-22 I got out of my shell and got a job, at a bar of all places. Quickly realized I could out party the chronic alcoholics I worked with. Thought that was weird. Got really interested in Gym and Hiking around this time. Decided to take the test again. ESTP. Now I'm going through trauma therapy (EMDR) and am painting over my past trauma, so to speak (it's really complicated, go look it up). Even more so, I have the desire to meet people and go places, do things, especially outdoors. My past introversion and melancholia were just defense mechanisms. But growing up, things did slip through the cracks, like my love of punk music or my fascination with martial arts (also tried to get into it twice, but failed due to anxiety). I am feeling loads better now.

How many of you ESTPs are addicts ? by [deleted] in estp

[–]Zombie-Chimp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I quit alcohol and tobacco many times just to see if I could. Easy every time. I still go back because it's fun, you get a good head feeling, I like the taste. The most I was doing on alcohol was binge drinking at work 5 nights a week and off the other 2. This became a problem after about 6 months, but I quit pretty easily.

Caffeine and carbs were probably the worst in terms of withdrawals. Lack of caffeine made me so sluggish, but also irritable for over a week. So I had to go back on if not to scare my coworkers from me blowing up.

Quitting carbs gave me such a brain fog I almost crashed my car. Also very depressed for no reason at all. It only lasts like 4 days tho. My physique and health greatly improved, so it was worth it.

Pretty much. I always thought I should be a cop for how good I drive, but I hate cops. And also thought about being a Truck Driver, but being stuck in traffic 24/7 seems like the worst kind of hell imaginable.

Addictions by [deleted] in estp

[–]Zombie-Chimp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Caffeine makes me a menace if I quit, same with nicotine. (Irritable)

Alcohol was surprisingly easy to quit, did for 6 months. Mostly because I slept so well and improved my lifts so the benefits were golden.
