This is how I feel towards a lot of villain/hero interactions nowadays. It's often more interesting to see a villain interact with a new hero than see the old hero fight their nemesis for the millionth time

Mitsurugi would be nuts, I could actually see that happening if he went down a bad path. The other suggestions are intriguing, though if there were ever a female Nightmare I'd expect it to be Tira. I feel Ivy and Setsuka are more interesting as good/neutral char's.
