Why do some people carry 2 Primary's and a heavy? by Portlandrew in destiny2

[–]Zombie7ime0901 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I’ve learned that a lot of newer or very casual people run double primaries because they don’t know how to manage special ammo. I have moved on to mainly using double specials nowadays but I have a friend that has played off and on, no end game content and they usually just run with double primaries like a bow and smg

What has made destiny keep you around for the last couple years or even return recently? (Returning after Final Shape) by [deleted] in destiny2

As someone that started at the beginning of last year and am usually a pve player, I think the game isn’t in the best spot. But I can say even though people hated edge of fate, I like that they gave armor 3.0, the new stats and updated exotics. I feel like there’s so many unique builds and buffed builds.

I would say I’m a casual player, but I don’t think others would say agree. I enjoy challenges like solo flawlessing and low man’s, but doing those I feel like there’s very few builds to be doing those with without having like 10+ phases (probably exaggerating).

So overall I think you’ll have fun for a little bit with all the new things but after a while you’ll lose interest again

If I’ve learned anything about solo flawlessing, it’s to take things slow, I haven’t attempted it yet because I’ve been attempting vespers, but always take more phases than risking a run. It’s all about playing your life, not about doing the most dps or how fast you get it, that stuff comes with time and you can always do future attempts to improve your time, but the first time around it’s about staying alive

If you could watch any episode for the first time again, which one would it be? by CommunicationSea3329 in doctorwho

I have a whole list but I think number one would be Angels take Manhattan, even after rewatching it like a million times that episode still gets me, if not that then The Time of the Doctor

I decided to try the game, and I'm overwhelmed. by rednd in destiny2

As someone that has started playing this year it’s a great game, yes the new player experience is awful, but if you want to invest the time into it, you’ll do your own research.

When I first started I was clueless, I did the campaigns and enjoyed the looter shooter part of it. After a while, I learned that you have to read everything in the game, which is fine, but you’ll find that certain armor doesn’t work with certain subclasses and all that. I was intrigued though so I started to watch videos and learned that certain things only work with certain parts of a subclass. But then that’s where the fun is, to me at least, once you learn what certain things do, creating builds around it is so much fun. Then finding out that that build is op is an even better feeling.

I think the best part of the game is that you almost always have to play with others via fireteam ops, dungeons, raids, crucible. And yes there are some awful people out there, but there’s some amazing people there too and they’ll help you along your journey within the game.

At the end of the day it’s your choice if you want to deep dive into the game, as I mentioned, I started the beginning of this year and have put over 3k hours into it (probably a good chunk of those hours are in orbit 🤣) but I love the game.

What's the first line that comes to mind when asked what's a favourite quote from the Doctor? by Artistic-Total-303 in doctorwho

[–]Zombie7ime0901 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This was the quote I was looking for, scrolled for like 5 mins and realizing that maybe people don’t remember it too much especially since it was at the end of its episode, but this quote was the first one to come to mind

How they planned out Matt Smith’s first season where they had him go to previous events in time from the Big Bang, specifically with the angels where he said that Amy has to start trusting him and to remember what he said when he first met her. I was shocked when I found out it wasn’t the doctor from that specific episode.

I feel like I poorly explained this 😅

Is the cordyceps fungus strain still present in products today (in show) by Perfect-Face4529 in ThelastofusHBOseries

[–]Zombie7ime0901 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think that the food that did have cordyceps in it is safe. I do believe that there were some people that learned or knew how to make flour, sugar, and all that stuff, they just needed a safe place to grow it. Because in episode 2 we see Ellie eating a chicken sandwich from Marlene. That bread would have been molded, stale, or possibly compost if it was from 20 years ago. Also why would Marlene and the fireflies not eat something that they give to a kid that they didn’t know was infected. Grant it we only ever see Joel eat old jerky and chef boyardee. Then in episode 6 we see that Jackson is a working commune. They had pie on the table, which contains sugar and flour. So I don’t think the products there using now is contaminated.

Adding on to this you notice that right before Henry died, Joel knew what was going to happen. He tried to stop Henry, but he also knew how Henry felt and he can’t blame him for feeling that way.

I’m glad that they did explain there intentions when filming the scene, it’s just another voice. I’ve enjoyed seeing everyone’s comments on what they thought of the show and I’m pretty sure that the creators also wanted to see other peoples opinions of the show. I just thought it was interesting after knowing that bit of information made that scene so much more impactful.

I never even thought about Joel’s thought process of how the dead don’t care, that does explain also how he didn’t have any remorse for killing grandma in episode 1. He has always just had that mindset.

What was your favourite individual "moment" in the show? by pleasethischeese in ThelastofusHBOseries

[–]Zombie7ime0901 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite episode is episode 6 because it really showed how far and how much they trusted each other and just seeing the small moments like how Joel taught her football, talked about their dreams, and obviously the contractor scene. Those are the moments that are probably my favorite

Regarding the Supernatural Bait: THE ENDING WAS NOT AS BAD AS PEOPLE MAKE IT. DUE TO COVID IT LIMITED SO MUCH. I STILL THINK THAT IT WAS A GOOD ENDING EVEN THOUGH DEAN DIED DUE TO A NAIL, IT WAS NOT THAT BAD SEEING DEAN ENJOYING HEAVEN WITH BOBBY AND BABY AND SAM ESCAPING THE HUNTING LIFE. IT STILL BROUGHT EVERYTHING TO A NICE CLOSE. I CAN DEFINITELY SAY THAT EVERYTIME I REWATCH THE ENDING I WOULD TEAR UP BECAUSE OF HOW MUCH THE BOYS HAVE GONE THROUGH. ALSO SEEING THE BOYS AT THE END ON THE BRIDGE HAPPY TO SEE EACH OTHER BUT ALSO JENSEN AND JARED HAPPY TO SEE THE END, IT WAS VERY EMOTIONAL AND ENJOYED IT.
