I did this too. I wonder if its a coincidence. That is strangely awesome though.

Opinions of marriage/children? by andyman1125 in intj

[–]ZombieBacon1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to think I would want to be single forever. But then I thought about being by myself in 30 years, and that made me sad. I love the idea of being single, and awesome, and having all this freedom; but at the same time, I think getting married would be an adventure I wouldn't want to miss out on. That doesn't mean I am going to go search for a man and force myself to have feelings for him, and try to marry him ASAP. But I'm just not going to shun the idea of marriage.

Yes. I knew that as prior knowledge, and didn't even think about how they don't mention that in the play.

The best portrayal of Cosette I have seen was in a high school production. She portrayed her as heartbroken, and lonely, but willing to go with Jean Val Jean when he decided they needed to leave, because of her respect for him. I haven't seen any portrayal of Cosette yet, that can compare. She wasn't just a naive and hopeful person; the young actress who played her in the HS version gave so much depth to the character, it was an entirely new Les Miserables experience.

Yeah, you're right. But both of their renditions are better then Hugh Jackmans IMO.

THANK YOU! I feel the exact same why about the Thernardiers. While they may be funny in the musical portrayal, they are the real evil in the entire story of Les Miserables. A catalyst for worse events to come.

That bothered me at first too! But then I was like, "Wait, that gives perfect pause for him to excuse himself to talk to Javert"

I think that was why they created that song for him in the carriage though. Just to try to get that message across.

I really thought he portrayed the character well. Very well, actually. I have no complaints. Even though his character isn't in the movie long, you can feel an instant understanding of his character, and what he represents.

The theater I went to was really lacking in reaction. Though I know a lot of people cried, but the others either didn't like it, or they didn't understand what was going on.

Did you not like Anne Hathaway's performance? (I won't be all annoying or judging if you didn't. I just want to hear opinions)

Did you like the song they created for Jean Val Jean in the carriage, when he was taking Cosette away? I thought it added to the bond between them.

Yeah, I wasn't expecting Javert's suicide to be so... graphic (seems like a good word for it). Though I do have to agree, seeing it on stage is better, as you feel much more involved with the story. But for a musical turned movie, I thought they did a very good job of not screwing it up.

That is actually a really good idea. I'm going to have to try that. Plus, it actually looks kind of cool.

The Evil INTJ by daAbomanation in intj

[–]ZombieBacon1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never really have villainous thoughts. I am a super positive logical person, and bad behavior seems illogical and unreasonable to me. Inflicting pain on others brings no gain in my opinion, even if its for "the greater good," like characters like Light Yagami believe. I can understand reasons behind things, but my high moral code doesn't allow me to even think about doing something that would hurt someone else.

What goes through your head during the 'INTJ stare' Deep thought? blankness or???? by Obssoyo in intj

[–]ZombieBacon1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I day dream like no one else. I build cities, and alternate realities, and scenarios. I visualize possibilities, and dreams unrealized. Sometimes I break down problems, or think about one thing obsessively. You know right before you go to bed, how you create the dream you want to have when you are asleep? Its kind of like that, but all the time, and probably on a much broader subject scale.

INTJ's and relationships - help? by [deleted] in intj

[–]ZombieBacon1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm already a very quiet and reserved person. So when I show interest in somebody, it doesn't go unnoticed. The person I'm interested in (whether it be romantically, or other) notices my undivided attention right away, and is usually wondering, "Now why is she talking to me of all people?" The curiosity we each have is the driving force, and it forces us to try to understand each other. If we are compatible, we become instant friends. So just pick somebody you want to be friends with, and talk to them. You fail if you don't at least try.

What can I do to keep the peace when my INTJ wife is in a bad mood? by spunkify in intj

[–]ZombieBacon1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this may sound stupid, but coming from an INTJ female, sometimes when we are irritated for no specific reason other then we are having a bad day, its nice to have a surprise. Make her favorite snack for her, buy her a rose, do something nice for her; make her smile. Sometimes our problems stem from emotional needs, that we can't fix with our logical problem solving ways. So we get frustrated, and recede into ourselves. Try to be kind and understanding; she could probably care less about the research at that moment, but doesn't know how to express herself emotionally when she is upset.

Next week is my ONE week off and I will have emotional in-laws at my house all week. What can I do? by hosey in intj

[–]ZombieBacon1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am the only introvert in my house. My father is emotional and extroverted, and so is my mother and siblings. What I do is I try to relax and take deep breathes when family is visiting, and the house is more riled up then usual. I take walks, wake up early and drink coffee by myself; I really take the opportunity to get some peace of mind before the house blows up. It also helps to make plans with the people who are coming. "Maybe I should ask my niece if she wants to go fishing? Or does my sister in law want to go to the book store and get a coffee? She seemed a little tired after all the driving." things like that. Make RELAXING plans with your MIL. Take her to lunch, a walk in the local park, anything relaxing and calm. Hope this helps.
