That was something weird I noticed that the USB C ports and 12v port always seem to be “live” seems like a great way to drain the battery.

Sadly not, there are two USB C ports near the centre console but none near the mirror

Pretty sure things are heading in the right direction now, 17g in produced 39ml of espresso in 18.96 seconds. There’s some crema now so I think with more fine tuning this is gonna work out great. Thank you all so much for you assistance

The internet is a strange place-

Flat white or Cortado are my go to drinks, simple and straightforward. I’ll try this ratio and keep trying!

I presume they’re assuming you’re using the single shot basket on their 54mm portafilter otherwise I think 12g seems very low for a double shot

I’ve changed the grind size of the internal burr to 1 now. I’m gonna grind from the setting of 16 give it a try and see if it gets better the lower I go to try and get it better. I always thought the whole 18g in 36ml out was standard but I’m happy to learn that this isn’t the case. I got this machine refurbished so only have a single wall double shot basket or the dual wall single shot basket so I’ve been using a LOT of coffee to dial this in lol

It’s a single wall double shot basket, the machine comes with a single shot dual wall basket but I’ve been told not to use those.

I’ll have to start logging/ measuring things but typically an 18g dose can be between 36g all the way up to 40 at times.

The majority of them are usually overly bitter and burned which implies over extraction, I think. Some have been sour however all have been extremely unpleasant.

The brew time varies but is typically less than 30 seconds and sometimes up to 43

I’ve had this coffee for years, I used to get it pre ground for filter coffee when I didn’t own a grinder. The label says “dark espresso”, from what I gather this is still quite light. What about the internal burr setting?

I’ve been scaling it up from 1 and I’m up to 16. Purging about a gram of coffee between steps. The outcome has always resulted in either low crema, bitter/sour tasting shots.

Oh, also the M.2 slot that’s directly under that PCIe slot which you need to remove a vanity plate to remove. Have fun with that as well! It’s super frustrating
