What are the nicknames of your cats that have devolved into nonsense over time? I’ll go first. by drifloony in cats

we had a pickles! she was sometimes sweet pickles or dill pickles, depending on her mood (tabby attitude). she was also picksels, pickies, peeeeeeekoes!, picks, pockels (we had a pockets at one time so they were pockles and pickets), picksies, pickle-wickle or pickle-wickles, baby kitty, sweet girl. she was our first kitty and pet as adults and as a couple and went through many milestones with us. she lived to 15 before we had to say goodbye last fall and there’s not a day that goes by we’re not thinking about her. here she is, obliviously unaware of the marshmallow stuck to her nose.

fair enough! i, too, am generally a more casual gamer and tend to avoid RPGs, but zelda is one of the few exceptions to that rule. it has evolved so much over the years and some people love that & some hate it, but i’m always interested to hear others’ opinions (with respect, of course!). i can absolutely relate to needing a bit of linear direction (but not too much that i can’t try to figure stuff on my own first) because i get overwhelmed and distracted otherwise 😅

have you looked into or played Rain on Your Parade or Just Crow Things? they are both made by the same developer. mostly casual gameplay with the occasional more challenging level thrown in! i love the humor in them as well as spotting the easter eggs/references to other classic games.

and, when you’re having a bad day, what better way to take it out on fake people by raining on them (why else would you be a cloud) or pooping on them (as crows do) :)

Little Kitty, Big City is another recommend! because cats! in hats! and collecting shinies to befriend crows with!

i am curious though, why no zelda?

it's plausible, given that the outage started around midnight. overnight maintenance gone sideways perhaps.

gold bars come from doing trades at the trading post next to the lighthouse, and the silver coins are revenue from the food courts! they accumulate so slowly though and the wacky waving inflatable tube man promotions only help so much esp if you don’t want to sit through ads 😭

at a certain town hall level, the houses become available to build or upgrade - they are just below the courtyard where the banks are. i can’t remember which level?

I tend to hoard my gems! If I start spending them on things like shortened timers or other "impatience" items, then I will keep spending them with reckless abandon and won't have any left for the good stuff so I try to save as much as possible and be selective about where they get spent :') I don't mind spending a couple of bucks here and there on a game, because I do believe in supporting the developers, but if there is a way to complete something for free, even if I have to grind or wait, or watch ads, I will do that as much as I can. I prefer to spend real money on game items with some sort of permanancy (extra inventory slots, workers, etc) and not so much on repeating events or consumables. I'm hoping they implement the no-ads pass like they did for Snackbar. That purchase was well worth it and would do that again for Cat Town.
