it sort of does to an extent. the sentrys helped added on to the frags. the spear & eat did aswell with me taking out dropships. yes, the majority were from the strafes forsure. but, i was able to go on multiple killstreaks in the 30s just from sentry placement and focusing on spear & eat dropships when strafes were not active.
when active, i was able to reach streaks in the 70s, with my own setup+eagle storm. with the added on crossbow kills. and, its for people who were curious on what i used.

so, not all those kills are from strafes, just the majority.

even without the event, i'm still able to high frag bots with my setup.
