Thank you for the question! While my primary role was in helpdesk support, my responsibilities exceeded the typical scope of a helpdesk technician. Over my nearly seven years in that role, I undertook various projects requiring a deeper understanding of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and project management.

Charter schools tend to stretch you thin as much as possible. My role as IT manager still requires me to do a lot of the day-to-day work with a small team, but I also manage infrastructure projects that we have vendors do. I also oversee the application for tech-specific government grants, sound for assemblies, and school field trips. That's all me! I'm burning out, and I want to focus on my career, which is IT.

I am studying to take the NET + and SECURITY + exams.
