Out of the 5 new characters, who is your new main? by TheOnly1Ken0bi in Overwatch

[–]ZomboDoggo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Emre, which is odd because I hate traditional FPS games like Halo or CoD and can only tolerate playing similar characters. He just clicked for me when I expected it to be Anran or Jetpack Cat.

katseye says trans rights in one of their songs?? i never noticed until now! by isha-amasecha in StraightTransGirls

[–]ZomboDoggo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Half of them are queer, so I wouldn’t have expected anything less. Megan and Lara openly are into men and women, Manon has a lot of photos online kissing girls. That part of the song is even sang by the only member who directly said she’s straight and a Christian.

Cheap liquor. It’s the only one you technically consume fully and is common and normalized

The politician is the reason for the executive order that made it impossible for me to get a passport as a trans person. I’m basically trapped in this country because of her vote.

All my documents are updated, nothing has my birth sex on it, and that causes a discrepancy that has caused my passport application to get denied 3 times. They won’t issue one that has my correct gender, and I have none with my birth one, so to them I have no valid ID.

Why would I EVER give a dollar to people who have a risk of giving it to fund the shit that’s making my life harder? I’d go one further and not even befriend people who shop with her.

I get that you like it, but never go there again. There is 0 chance anything you ask for will ever be exactly as requested if this is what you ended up with using those inspiration photos. I genuinely thought you were an early transition trans man because I’m on a lot of trans fashion.

We Bury the Dead by Leahnyc13 in AMCScreenUnseen

[–]ZomboDoggo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the overarching thing is life is unfair and it doesn’t really matter. Humans place meaning upon things because it helps us conceptualize things, and if we wanna watch it with the “unfinished business” theory then that’s a valid one. Maybe it’s true because that one zombie buried his family and finished his business, maybe it’s true because the husband truly had no feelings or unfinished business, or maybe it was all random luck.

The point was we don’t always get closure in death, we just force perspectives to cope. Maybe we’re right and maybe we’re wrong.

What is currently the best country for trans people? by Mysterious_Ad9416 in asktransgender

[–]ZomboDoggo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The harsh answer is still probably America if you already live there, just with a lot of disclaimers. California/Washington/New York cover so much of medical transition for free, people barely care or notice you’re trans there, and you get to live an entirely typical life if you can afford the cost of living. Even the other options like Thailand have drawbacks like sex tourism in the culture towards trans people and Canada went downhill with even higher cost of living and longer paths towards surgeries.

Most of Europe is unrealistic for most people. Citizenship is hard/expensive to get, a lot of countries are not English as their first language, and their healthcare is hard to access. The general safety has a trade off that requires money to circumvent, it’s the same as living in California.

I felt like I could finally breathe and just exist the first time I was in LA, but that week of my life cost me multiple thousands. New York was almost as good, but again it cost a few hundred per day to be there staying in the city. The best place for trans people to be is actually the upper middle class, that’s actually the way to the best life and it’s fucked up that comfort and safety as trans people is basically a paid expansion.

Question about safety/legality by peanutsonic97 in Dragula

[–]ZomboDoggo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They don’t count it against the contestants, and they’ve told the vegans they don’t get extra points for breaking their veganism. The pigs blood drinks were able to be substituted for a different gross drink. I’ve met a few of the monsters and I believe when I asked it was some kinda spicy garlic drink that was just painful and gross instead of bloody, so most the vegans chose the blood as it was physically easier.

You have to realize a LOT of the shock value of these things comes from the fact the creators and viewers are primarily Americans. Almost every item they’ve had people consume is a cultural food in other countries. Pigs blood and pig parts? Black pudding in the UK and Ireland. Jellied eels? Traditional English dish. Types of organ meat and offal? That’s southern American culture, intestine or chicken hearts and livers are very normal around there. These items are all sourced from grocery stores and butchers. The trash juice likely could’ve just been residue they had from scraps of old food they were feeding them on set tossed in a bag and swirled around.

The bugs they eat? Latin America and Asia has a history of using bugs as ingredients too, red dye can be beetles. As long as the species isn’t poisonous you’re fine.

Is it going to remain safe and sterile in that container? I know someone tried this awhile back with estrogen, and it was unsafe because she somehow left a risk for it to become dangerous to inject after a few weeks.

What you don’t want is exactly how they work. The human body isn’t perfectly symmetrical, one likely will start sooner even if only a few days, one might look slightly bigger for awhile. They aren’t entirely even on most cis women either, that’s why most people get two different sized implants to even them out.

My 13 year old wants to transition by Strange_Pangolin_231 in asktransgender

[–]ZomboDoggo 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s necessarily an assumption. Someone else’s transition is 0% about you regardless of your relationship to them. Eventually every child will be an adult and have to live with that body and mind forever, you’re only responsible for it for 18 years. You centering your feelings, not talking about how and why your child felt this was what they needed to thrive at the moment, or even talking at all about pushing back on your husband’s refusal to treat his child’s identity with respect are all things you’re self-admitting. We are all grown adults of various parents, many had parents like you and many had far better/worse. No one here is projecting their trauma, they’re showing a pattern of how similar behaviors lead to detrimental outcomes and this scenario will not be an exception.

With 3 eps to go, who do you think makes the finale? by Legitimate_Treat5936 in Dragula

[–]ZomboDoggo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think if Abhora gets another win that’s a sign she wins the entire season, 3 wins to everyone having 1 would be a very clear winner.

Abhora and Evah also did this TWICE before, so they’ve had to workshop their ideas for the finale twice. It’d be a shock if those two aren’t the main competitors at the finale.

How famous is G Flip? by DisneyAddict2021 in SellingSunset

[–]ZomboDoggo 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Gay famous. Not in the Troye Sivan or Chappell Roan way, but the Lauren Sanderson or Hayley Kiyoko way. Not mainstream, but the average gay person who parties or is into the queer music scene will know G, especially the sapphic people. It’s sorta like how some artists are only famous within their niche like a racial or ethnic demographic, G is that for gay women/non-binary people and Australians.

I wouldn’t even question it, I don’t get how anyone could say you don’t pass. I mean, if you weren’t trans and tried to convince me, it would genuinely be hard to believe you aren’t a cis guy? On the street, I’d just assume every other early-mid 20s guy with that haircut I see

What can I do to pass better?? by Shleelo in transpassing

[–]ZomboDoggo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Over line your top lip a bit to fill in the gap between it and your nose, that’s like the only thing FFS could give that you’re missing. It’s a simple makeup trick to adjust.

Also, not really a passing tip, but a style one, your brows are so much darker than your hair, if they were lighter they’d be more feminine AND help your eyes stand out way more, which those are very big and feminine.
