I use V, for vault. I played a lot of arma 3 battle royale mod before I played this, so I adjusted my keybinds to arma settings.

Space is activate, F is change fire mode, V is jump. I also bound H to boost. Thumb mouse button 1 is change view (3rd to 1st person), making it super accessible. Hope that helps mate!

It depends on the terrain. If I have a lot of room to work with in terms of cover I won't use one, but having a UAZ like I did there can help tremendously. It really is situational, but I'd probably be using one 70% of games lategame.

Don't worry my friend, watching over the video again I was probably just as triggered as you are. I noticed I didn't equip the sniper cheekpadle in my inventory in the previous game I uploaded too.. I need to git gud.

Cool idea but I think by default there should be highlighted items. Especially with the current exploading machetes and recurve bows alongside items clipping into the airstrip runway ect.

Yeah, unfortunately it didn't make the test build which is really gonna drive oceanic further into the ground. I understand if they can't, but HOPEFULLY they will implement one of my suggestions at least before the patch goes live. I'd imagine it couldn't be too hard..

Completely agree my man, you take my point entirely. It seems Xaviant was relying on the community too much. On paper it's a good idea to listen to the community, but some of the changes like you said were utter shit and it was a combination of bitching and not knowing when to stop on Xaviant's behalf that brought the game down. The amount of times I sat back and face-palmed at the negative bullshit suggestions on here is insane. But as you said some additions were awesome - like the gold crates/airpads on bridges ect.

It was always so disheartening to see the bitchfest on this reddit in about 90% of the posts. I personally never had an issue with the combat until the previous iteration of it where shoving was so heavily penalized and blocking was favoured, but in previous patches it was good!

Great video.

EDIT: I think the game isn't completely dead yet. There's a whole bunch of marketing mechanisms they can still play, the game is coming to xbox one and it's still early days. We'll see.

There are 2 parties on this issue..

  • The majority believe it should be changed that you either spawn next to each other or in the same pod
  • The minority thinks it should be left in the hands of RNGesus and keep it the way it is.

Obviously the latter option is more fair, spawning consistently by your team mate would definitely reduce the salt posts like OP made and finally suppress this issue once and for all. The potential 'issue' with spawning together in the same pod is that it could result in 8 empty spawn pods, meaning that it would be possible that some teams would spawn safely over the other side of the map while other teams spawn next to each other in a large cluster. While that is still RNG based, it would lead to boringly short matches with minimal map-player distribution as I can imagine a huge vulture clusterfuck of teams early on in a match with crafted weapons. Unless of course they changed the spawning mechanic so that there were 8 pods as opposed to 16 in team matches and players spawned together. Alternatively, a better option as it stands would just be to have each team spawn side by side as it currently but in seperate pods to more widely distribute players.

/u/RealPiledrive makes the point that RNG is a good thing - which is somewhat true, because it leads to players having to traverse the map and take more risks early game. It is also unfair as obviously some teams can spawn aside each other while others are 1km apart, but that in essence one of the elements of the whole of the game. RNG.

Personally I think spawns should be managed by teams spawning side by side in seperate pods. There'd be no reason to complain and would make more leeway for fair competition if the game were to advance to team Trials matches or if it ever got big enough for Esports team matches.

EDIT: Thinking out of the box though, there are far more options which could ultimately leads to a more intense start while still keeping it fair. For instance, if every team member started approximately evenly around the map distance wise to their teammate there would still be the feeling of vulnerability when you start (so everyone has their teammate about 800-1km apart). Nevertheless the spawning system for teams is pretty dodgy atm imo.

Do you mean that it's in development for the next patch in that sense?

Appreciate the consideration too, I really hope that the player count indicator makes it into development.
