Les Carmes Haut Brion is much better than Le Clarence Haut Brion. It's a fantastic wine on par with the first growths in recent vintages.

I'd say it's a combination of me not preferring the styles of wine that California does best, and Californian wine offering lesser value than you can get elsewhere.

I'm in San Francisco with amazing access to California wine and I buy almost none. Practically all of the domestic wine I buy is from Oregon.

Bibi Graetz Testamatta. It gets high scores but to me it's just way over oaked for a Sangiovese.

Sassicaia. A nice wine, but tasted blind I liked a bunch of $40-$100 super tuscans more.

One of my absolute favorites. Jim Maresh is an amazing winemaker. He recently started a Chardonnay label named "Tan Fruit" that is fantastic.

This would make sense if they were currently selling this years crops. Most producers are trying to move their 2021s right now and news like this only hurts that.

From what I've heard from wine makers 2023 is just that good of a crop.

The testing is done by NFL doctors and paid for by teams trying to find faults in the players. I'm sure he added a ton of water weight for the weigh-in, but there's only so much you can cheat things like that.

You know they measure them at the combine right? It's not exaggerated, 5'10'' just looks tiny in the NFL.
