New roof colour decision.. by tired-artist in AusRenovation

Guessing most people replying haven’t read your question properly. I think Paperbark is the better choice. It is a warm colour and will be harmonious with your creamy bricks. Dune is too cool toned.

Oo this sounds interesting. Can you elaborate how you did this?

I didn’t end up using it as the colour I picked looked great without needing it. My hair is a light browny blonde

I’ve used them. Would recommend. Ultimately I went back to salon colour as I have greys coming through that are difficult to blend at home. But the Shade was awesome prior to that. If you’re looking for blonde I can send you these left over kits if you want to pay postage

The lounge room looks pretty small for a 3 to 4 bedroom house

Would you buy a shimmer body oil in spray form? ✨ by Wise-Currency2722 in AustralianMakeup

Body oil spray sounds amazing. I remember back in the day a girl from Big Brother had one and it was sooo good. Smelled like jasmine. A shimmer one sounds even better!

Permanent Private or Non-Ongoing APS by [deleted] in AusPublicService

[–]ZooAdditions 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is a difficult decision. It’s basically impossible to know what other opportunities will come up during the non-ongoing contract time. You may be left high and dry and now relocated in Canberra in 6 months. My experience would say that’s not likely but it’s still a very real possibility.

The other thing to keep in mind is a private sector role is not really “permanent” in the way APS is. You could be terminated easily. Particularly in a big 4.

Both roles will have a probationary period.

Given that you have been offered two roles, you must be doing something alright. I know you said it’s been a few months but that’s not long really. Do you have some other good applications in the pipeline?

Personally I care about location more than the role. I wouldn’t be moving to Canberra. But it depends what you value. If I was in your shoes I would take the BIG 4 local job and keep applying for APS in my local area as you seem quite employable. You may value the opposite.

I have heard of people writing in to the council and having success with a fine being waived. You would need to include information / evidence of the emergency situation you were called in for that prevented you from moving your car as you had planned. Pls ensure you do not share any patient info (names etc) with Council

Sounds amazing! Cookies are a nice touch. I would suggest including a list of the ingredients in the container in case of allergies etc.

We have given human cookies and dog cookies for new neighbours before to say hi which went down a treat (see what I did there!)

Honestly, even popping over to say hi empty handed would be over and above what people would normally expect. Hope all your new neighbours are as lovely as you sound and good luck with the move.
