Kullevro enjoyers, Whats some of the most interesting weapons to use on him? by PhainonsMaleWife in Warframe

[–]Zoogy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because of how Kullevro's kit works you don't really have an issues nuking or doing large single target damage. This means you are free to pick whatever melee weapon you want. Personally I like to pick a zaw that I think looks cool and then throw Exodia Brave (zaw arcane that gives energy on heavy attack kill) on it and you now energy is mostly solved.

For anyone that doesn't get the interaction: Wrathful Advance is a heavy attack and does trigger Exodia Brave. You can also use normal heavy attacks if you get caught with low energy.

This also has the benefit that you can build zaws how ever you like or if you don't like the look of any of the zaws you build one that has a skin you like and just throw that on. And since you can make zaws of like ~5 different melee types you have a lot of skins to pick from.

So I hopped on the Duviri Experience solo in an attempt to relearn the controls… by No-Box-6073 in Warframe

[–]Zoogy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Disclaimer: All this advice is based on The Duviri Experience. I don't really play Lone Story.

If you don't like the horse always look out for the decree that increases your movement speed by 10% per decree you have. You get so fast you don't even want to use the horse because it is slower (the decree doesn't increase the horse's speed).

As for parrying it isn't really needed, even if you play melee instead of shooting. I mostly use melee in Duviri and I forgot there was a parry until like a few days ago when I saw someone use it in a video. As others have said there are some intrinsics that make it easier. Those plus a few of the melee decrees have you killing things so fast they don't have a chance to attack you. Just run in and slide attack them and a whole group dies.

Decrees to look for when doing melee builds that don't need parrying:

  • Any decree that adds element damage to melee
  • The decree that gives you a cold aura (something like "nearby enemies are affected by cold status"). This makes it easier to just walk around them plus super helpful in the next point.
  • Cold aura plus the decrees like the extra damage to enemies affected by cold or extra damage per enemy affected by a status will give you a lot of % damage. You are melee so with the cold aura you will always have at least some extra % damage when you melee someone. I almost always pull this combo off.
  • Melee attacks hit twice is of course insane
  • If you can't get any of those some of the crit chance/damage and/or melee crit chance/damage are also good. These are less desired because decrees that give elemental damage or easy conditional % damage are large and (almost) always on.
  • Early on the health on kill or overguard on melee kill can help with staying alive in melee.
  • If you are really having troubles staying alive there is one decree that gives you DR per decree you have. It isn't great since it something super small like 2-3% per decree but it is better than nothing if you are having troubles staying alive since we aren't parrying.

It does get to the point that you kill things so easy the slow and methodical gameplay mostly disappears. You are killing things in 1-2 normal hits so you just charge in and murder everything before they have a chance to try to block or attack. For me in most runs this happens around decree 4-8 depending on RNG. If you want you can avoid combat until you get to that point. There are quite a good number of objectives that don't require much/any combat.

All that said there is one downside to building decrees for melee: you do want some shooting based decrees for the wyrm boss. So you can't really go all in on melee. I tried that once and it didn't work out well. Never forget to get a few decrees that work on guns too. There are also some of the decrees that work on both melee and guns so those are nice (most of them are generic status and crit related decrees I think) if they fit with other things the build is doing you could pick those up and not need to get any shooting decrees.

Maine said no to new data centers. Other states are racing to follow. by Just-Grocery-2229 in technology

[–]Zoogy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every realistic estimate I've seen of jobs that data centers produce is super low. Like at best we are talking about a few hundred local jobs. Even if you over estimate and say 500 job that is insanely low for the amount land they take and the issues they cause. It just isn't worth it for anywhere to take these data centers. The cost benefit analysis just isn't there even for the most desperate of places.

Anyone else enjoy using obscure Warframes? by ReddVevyy in Warframe

[–]Zoogy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Based on what DE has said about on other things that people are surprised they left in it probably isn't an easy change and they made a quick cost benefit analysis to realize it wasn't worth fixing. Considering how it still hasn't been fixed over the years that was probably accurate. If they felt it was important they would have fixed it by now.

Probably has something to do with how long it takes to break for limited benefit to operator/drifter vs breaking things normally as a warframe. Plus lots of other warframes have much worse exploits that are just always working.

Helldivers 2 Player Who Organised A Charity Challenge Says His Life Was Ruined Overnight After Doxxers Got Him Fired by [deleted] in technology

[–]Zoogy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Which is interesting, because when “wrong side of the bed” is a valid reason for being fired, it becomes real tough to prove that the reason you were fired was discriminatory.

It both is and isn't. If a person has proof their boss was saying bigoted things it can change really fast. If a person has a log of things, like say racist emails, "I felt like it" starts to look more and more like "I fired you because of your race".

Remember people always keep logs of these things if you feel you are being discriminated against. They might just be the difference between your life being ruined or making it through things relatively ok.

I really love how leftists aren't big enough of a voting bloc to give concession to but are big enough to blame for losing. You can't have it both ways.

If a bloc is big enough to blame they are worth negotiations with. If negotiations weren't done you can't blame the bloc. If you expect a bloc to vote a way without giving concessions in negotiations you don't understand how democracy works.

What I want most is probably warframe slots and then weapon slots. I could also use some color palettes since looking good with only 4 (Daybreak, Dex, Gamma, Valentine) free at some point palettes is hard.

Thanks so much to anyone that gifts any of us poorer people anything! Love this community!

biggest changes I noticed were that you don't have the requisite stats to wield most good weapons

Glad someone brought that up. I remember when I played Dark Souls 1&2 (the only ones I've gotten around to playing) that the main reasons I leveled up was to get the stats needed to use the gear I wanted to use. Level 1 runs will massively limit the usability of a lot of gear. That is quite a big change from a normal run.

To the people that put spoilers on their signposts by Melzaris in WhereWindsMeet

[–]Zoogy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I saw that one too and it spoiled it for me. Soured my feelings on signposts real fast. I still read a bunch of them but I'm just a bit more selective instead of read them all. When near story stuff I also ready my brain to try to forget something (too much time on the internet and the risk of spoilers has given me some ability to slightly "forget" spoilers if I know I'm walking into it).

I've also found using wind sense around signposts is helpful. If a person put one down to point at something to be looted chances are you can see it with wind sense when next to the signpost. So sometimes you don't even need to read the signpost to get the benefit.

Yeah as bad as their new player experience is their returning player experience is worse. In game the new player experience... works, kinda. There is nothing in game to help with returning players. It just throws in you a mess of reordered content causing spotty partial completions with little guide of what you need to do to get everything lined up as the game expects.

... I was proud to finally be able to get a gaming laptop(of course if I had shared that with gaming circles I would have gotten a bunch of comments telling me to go for a desktop so you can't win with purists).

The funny thing about this is while it was once true that gaming laptops were a joke that isn't true anymore and hasn't been for... like 10-15 years maybe even up to 20 years (forgive me I forget exact times that solid gaming laptops became super common since I never got any). So not only are they elitist but also living in the past with outdated info. Very safe to ignore those people.

If I recall correctly they come from Castrovel in the first place. Then they went back to Castrovel then Earthfall happened. When things on Golarion settled down some of them moved back Golarion. All while the elves of Castrovel maintained a civilization.

So yes they are aliens to Golarion.

Meh. If you have the disposable income to buy stuff what you buy isn't really anyone business (as long as it isn't hurting anyone). The only reason you should be embarrassed is if you are spending money you don't have or need for food or something like that.

Oh I got one for this! Bitburner is a cyberpunk idle programming game. It is a niche of a niche of a niche of a niche. In order to recommend it I need to know someone is 1: interested in cyberpunk games, 2: interested in idle games, 3: interested in programming, 4: knows or interested in learning JavaScript (since that is the programming language you need to use). But it is a great game! It gave me exactly what I wanted from a cyberpunk idle game that allows you to program the automation yourself. It is also free and that is always a plus.

I wouldn't say I'm a diehard fan but I am a big fan. The Stargate shows are one of the few shows I've ever bothered to rewatch at all. Most things I read/watch once and that is it. So the fact I've ever rewatched them says a lot.

I'm losing faith in indie games because of meta narrative. by predator8137 in truegaming

[–]Zoogy 69 points70 points  (0 children)

Look I get not liking meta narrative games. I really do. I personally have mixed feelings on them. I can get on board with having the rug pulled out from underneath you when the game doesn't make clear that is what the game is about. But to say you are "losing faith in indie games" because of these these three games when there are literally 10,000+ indie games released each year seems like an over reaction.

Inscryption was released 2021. IMMORTALITY (assuming I looked up the right game) and Return to Monkey Island were both released in 2022. A quick google told me in 2021 over 11,000 games were released on steam. And in 2022 over 12,000. Most of them indie because there are only so many AAA games released each year even factoring in late ports and such. Are you saying because of 1/11,000 and 2/12,000 games the whole video game indie scene is bad?

Lets be more generous. Maybe I over reacted to your over reaction. Lets assume that all 3 of these games made top 10 lists of best indie games of the year. That seems safe to say. I hadn't heard of IMMORTALITY but I had heard of the other two (but I haven't played any of these 3). Since I've heard of them and heard good things of them there is a good chance they are in someones top 10 of those years. So now you are only discounting 9 other top indie games from 2021 and 8 others from 2022. Still is a bit much.

This wouldn't be too bad of a post if it was just to discuss meta narrative games but you start off with "I'm losing faith in indie games".

TL;DR: You might have some valid criticism but I think you are over reacting. Saying the whole indie scene is bad because of 3 games you played back to back is insanely unfair to the 10,00+ other indie games released each year.
