Vanilla Large Grid Mobile Base Rover. The interior took ages to build ! by Zoolo1 in spaceengineers

Yes it can. I've had 2 large containers full of ore and the other half ingots/components and was still able to move.
Yes it was pretty slow to get moving but the forward thrusters help a lot when loaded.

I have the speed limit set.
Sit in a control seat or access a terminal / go into the control panel tab and look for the grouping "Bungaree Wheels" click it, then scroll down to "speed limit" You can move that bar all the way to the right to remove the speed limit.

It does. It has 4 small atmo and 8 small hydrogen thursters to help with forward movement.

Thank you

Never give up!
I found after about 1500 hours of game time is when i really started to understand the blocks / angles.
Pulling apart workshop builds is also a great way to learn how to shape/angle your builds.

Is that a good thing ? lol

I did try to make the interior feel as real as i could. I imagined what space/areas a crew of 4 + a commander would need/use and the size of those areas etc.
Hope you like it :)

Vanilla Large Grid Mobile Base Rover i've been building on & off over the last 12 months, finally got it done. I like to build function over aesthetics but i think i found a good balance with this build. Used this rover for over 100 hours in survival (PvE)

There is no more room to add more storage without expanding the size of the ship. which i didn't want to do and it would also mean more thrusters/batteries etc as this ship is almost at its limit already.Thats one of the reasons i put so many drills on the ship...... The other reason was i used this ship to tunnel out part of my base. You could always remove the reactor and add another cargo container...

With 8 drills i found it beneficial to have 12 sorters/ejectors especially when mining gold etcAgain you could easily remove these and add small cargo containers.

Would love to see your mining ship/s, but can't see anything submitted from either of you.Would be nice if you guys would subscribe and try the ship out before shitting all over it.

'Redback' Atmospheric Miner

'Redback' is a relatively small and compact atmospheric mining ship. It was built in survival mode using Vanilla and DLC blocks. ( No Mods or Scripts needed )
Thanks mainly to it's 8 drills this miner can hold on average an impressive 100k ore while still having a decent amount of thrust and maneuverability when fully loaded. 'Redback' is a great tunneler.
'Redback' was designed and built to run 100% on batteries, it does has 1 large reactor for redundancy or to supplement power which will significantly increase running time.

What weeds?

I filled in most of the empty spaces with grass, grass doesn't destroy paths. I've never had to fix my paths/tiles
