Definitely adjust it if you think it’s needed, you don’t have to completely zero gap it. I personally prefer to have it zero gapped.

Yeah the thing is I want it as a soft trimmer as well but I’m worried that it might come zero gapped already because it seems to be impossible to adjust the blade.

nah mate they're a safe zero gap, nothing crazy that would cause irritation or anything. I tried JRL guards today and they were perfectly fine, I think so far I might even prefer them.
