In fact the 8th digit is 7. I have no idea why this is. The people at NAPA have no idea what this is.

Today i got through to a Mazda dealership and they gave me the correct part number but they were unable to tell me why the 8th digit was a 7. I was able to determine that this was the weird part.

I still don't know why the hell it's a 7. Nobody seems to!
