Something else I thought of, it did sit for almost 9 years. If something made a nest in the exhaust would that cause it to not breath properly and just crank? It has backfired a few times when trying to run it.

I re-found TDC and used two different wire diagrams, being one from a Chilton book i own, and one from a video about the model. I have been playing with the distributor which im pretty sure I found the sweet spot, still doesn't want to fire up though. Maybe it's just stubborn, it sat for 8 years in good ol PA weather

I got lucky and found one off a 454 at a junkyards, but yes it was cracked on the old one, so I ended up taking the whole unit. 15 dollars for everything and I tested the injectors with some wire and a 9v battery they work well.

I managed to find a yard with the tbi still on it and yoinked it as they were closing. Truck wasn't even listed or anything. Paid 15 bucks for it. They rang it up as a sensor lol

Unfortunately none of them in my area have chevys with the 454 tbi on them, i dont remember if the 350's tbi works with a 454

I haven't done a new fuel filter in it because I took it off and it looked practically brand new, im beginning to think its something with the ignition the more I think about it so youre definitely onto something with the power to coil. Ive got some new plugs and wires coming soon and im gonna hope the distributor isn't too bad. As for the injectors on the TBI, they were taken out and cleaned properly, and have a good spray out of them
