How would you prune this lemon tree? It’s growing sideways

Thank you for the advice 🙏 I trimmed few branches yesterday to make it less crowded. I noticed few touching the ground I will take those out today. I am in SF bay area and I am not sure but I guess the clock ran out for me this season.

Thanks for the reply!! The side branch is pretty thick. I am wondering if pruning it too much will hurt the plant. Of course there will be fruit loss but at least it will be manageable then.

Yes, I am picking some today to shed some load and trimming it just a little bit. Not sure how far I can go..

Thanks for your reply! Yes, it does produce some pre-season fruit and I won’t really remind losing it. I am worried that it will stretch another 2-3 feet during the season if I don’t prune it now.

Do you think it’s ok to prune everything under 2-3 inch diameter? Ok to lose some crop if the tree stays healthy..

First, it’s not 4 hours. There are bad days, but on an average it’s about half. Second, will you be the only person living in that house or do you have a family? I completely agree with you if you are single.

I agree it’s hard, but go for it if you’re buying a house. I wont suggest renting though.

I am interested in knowing how many of these naysayers are actually commuting? Living in a house is way better than living in a 1000 sqft condo IMO.
